I worked at GRAN AMERICA INTERNATIONAL part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Being a small company allows the employers and employees to work on a more intimate level without the need to establish a superficial office hierarchy. Work was delegated and done on an as-needed basis. Also, everyone that worked there was able to speak up about a variety of issues, and each individual's concerns were properly weighted and discussed about, leaving employees with a sense that what they said mattered and allowing them to further invest in the company.

    Cons

Located in a rather questionable area of greater Miami. While considered an industrial park, the office was just down the street from a juvenile correctional facility, and also, airplanes would pass overhead to land in the airport runways less than 5 miles away. Work hours tended to be eccentric.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Working hard is admirable, but working smart is the proper method of getting things done.
