    Pros

    -Best pay in the area
    -Good teamwork and collaborative environment
-Can't help but to learn, and further improvement/education is encouraged and pushed
-Good nurses that value PCTs and don't treat them poorly

    Cons

-Parking. You will be walking a good distance from wherever you park. The upside is after 1500, anyone can park in the parking garages. So if you have the time and opportunity, you can move closer later.
-Work can be very difficult and demanding depending on where you are hired

    Advice to Management

Put some money into your older hospital sections. New toys are great, and of course equipment needs to be updated to provide the best care, but some nursing units have been strung along on renovation promises for nearly 10 years. Pretty outsides may draw people in, but ugly insides won't impress them.

    Pros

GRHealth is very competitive with their pay in this area

    Cons

GRHealth is an academic institution so some aspects of patient care does not compare to other institutions in this area.

    Pros

Pay is better than other area hospitals...but even that is not enough to make up for incorrigible management staff.

    Cons

Management...from the CEO down. I don't believe that all management have always been this bad. Everyone seems to be desperate to keep their positions at this point, so they throw their employees under the bus whenever necessary.

    Pros

They offer great salaries and some of the best health benefits

    Cons

Too many managers doing the same job and not willing to help the staff when we are short of help.

    Advice to Management

I pray that senior leadership would start making middle management more accountable. I think middle management should have to help out when we have staffing shortages. I think they should have to work in the areas they manage from time to time so they can see first hand what we arr doing and notice the things we need help or more training in

    I worked at GRHealth

    Pros

Has a more attractice benefits plan particularly the health plan is affordable, no out of pocket and easy access to the MCGHI team of specialists.

    Cons

Stody management practices. A CEO that is formidable both in personal and work place philosphy. Autocratic leadership style. Not a contemporary employer in family/worklife balance. The first month I was there I worked 65 hours a week. I kept thinking it was me-I just worked too hard, cared to much. Then 3 months later I began to see how many people used small roll around (the airline carry on type) suitecases to take work home. It's sad.

    Advice to Management

Be more contemporary, develop collaborative workstyles and politices. Upgrade that attendance policy-it's from the 70's or something. Instead of bankrolling the college-put some funds into renovating the place-gee whiz.
