    Pros

Good people. Relaxed environment. New CEO seems to know what he is doing.

    Cons

HR disorganization, turn over, pay freeze, marginal benefits

    Advice to Management

Its tough to want to perform to your highest level and not look for better pay elsewhere, when you know you probably wont see any advancement at GSE. Since the company went private after the bankruptcy, we have no idea how the company is doing. I thought we were doing better, but then we saw layoffs. I suppose this could be reorganization with our new CEO in place. However for the office, morale is down and confused. A bonus seems like dream. GSE is seen as a place to have a job, while looking for another job. Our healthcare costs have gone up as well. For a company of this size, the premiums and copays should be much better. If our new CEO is reading this, inspire your work force with a better health care plan and competitive raises.

    Pros

Their product really does assist in the barrier of toxic waste and the earth.

    Cons

Management has no clue on how to manage. They feel that if you over promise and under deliver you will keep your business on it's feet. It is very difficult to do a job when no one seems to be able to communicate effectively and understand the market is growing but the company refuses to grow. Promising transport prices from yesteryear to today's customers is truly unrealistic. Promising production time with machines that are constantly breaking down is unrealistic. Promising five star business but in serious debt with all your current vendors and when manpower is under sourced and under payed is completely and an utter epic fail!!

    Advice to Management

Training, incentives, promotions, compensation, and a human touch is seriously needed... try it!!

    Pros

Can't think of anything except there are a few people that work there that are really good people. Sufficient parking for employees. Receptionist is very friendly.

    Cons

No leadership. Managers have no clue as to what they are doing. No work/life balance. Cut 401K matching. HR lacks professionalism. Huge turn over. Lack of communication.

    Advice to Management

Get managers that know how to manage people and know their jobs. Learn to appreciate the efforts that employees put forth.

    Pros

Headquarters is in Houston in small office, so you will have access to all of the VPs and the CEO.

    Cons

This company suffers from CMT (chronic mass turnover) syndrome. The high workload and thin staffing environment lead to the top performers leaving rather quickly. It seems that the employee comes last with recent cuts in compensation and benefits. The company also continues to hire consultants to do jobs which employees feel they are capable of doing which further erodes employee morale. There is also no clear direction from company leaders on duties or strategies.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to your employees or continue to lose the best.
