    Pros

    It was close to home.

    Cons

    No management. No culture. No direction. It appears they build equipment, but have no idea how to build the end product. They lack seasoned engineering, but have low experienced engineers, with on the fly change hoping something works, with limited if any success.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire a framework of experienced seasoned engineers and develop your process, document what works, and build a base.

    Pros

    Good vibe, good benefits, and plenty of opportunity for those who are proactive, ambitious, and have some skills and common sense. I hear nothing but good things from those who have been with the company for a long time.

    A bit disorganized at the moment due to growth and scale of current major project.

    Stock holders are important, but without employees, there are no stock holders. Take care of your people!

    Pros

    -Feels like a great place.
    -Lots of hours to work.
    -Its a job.

    Cons

    -When they say 60+ hours they mean 70. Miss a day and don't plan on having a job.
    -Never meant my manager till they let me go. And you are...
    -Heard horror stories of safety.
    -Was hired do one job and was doing 5 different jobs each with a different manager.
    -Day 3 I found out we could take breaks before lunch.
    -Took me 10 people and 7 days asking with 2 hours of my own time to find the correct safety glasses I had to wear.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    -Controlled chaos and working your employees to death only works for so long.
    -The horror stories of people being fired after doing something was based on training you failed to give the employees needs to stop.
    Forklift training, Flash Gear, Proper Safety Gear the first time
    Why wait every time for someone to be hurt and blame them?
    -Give an Employee one manager not five. Who do you can when your sick?

    Pros

    Good benefits and good salary. Hard work and results will also net you a bonus. My experience is in the solar equipment and materials side.

    Cons

    GT expectations are very high for your devotion and loyalty, this in not rewarded when the market conditions get bad. They have extremely bad market intelligence as evidence of the large capital investment in St. Louis and then closing the plant in St. Louis after the project was compete. This resulted in the lay off of almost 100 people world wide.

    Du diligence is worth the time and investment upfront before betting on market conditions that do not support large investments.

    Interesting technology and a newer office building.

    Feast of famine with workload. Disorganized management. Company wastes a LOT of cash.

    Get better organized and improve lines of communication with employees. Quit wasting money.

    They use staff and then get rid of them. The only ones that last are the guys on the top filling their pockets.
