I worked at Gabe's Oasis as an intern (less than an year)Pros
I began working for Gabe's as a temporary intern for my Introduction to Arts Management course.
From the 8-9 hour requirement, the temporary internship became a part-time internship with great benefits.
*Occasionally free beverages
*Unlimited networking opportunities
*Working with passionate employeesCons
The downside of becoming an intern for Gabe's Oasis was the lack of communication and leadership from the management.
Most of the people I worked for, were not paid employees. They basically worked for free because they love music so much. But one of the things I realized when working for these individuals is that they honestly do not care about their "job" and are only working there for its benefits (because they so desperately want to make it into the music industry).Advice to ManagementAdvice
*Become more supportive
*Continue hiring passionate employees
*Offer assistance in searching for full-time positions within the music industry
*Pay your employees and interns
*Treat employees better and show them you careRecommendsNeutral Outlook
