I have been working at Gaikai full-time

    Pros

Benefits are decent and the pay is around or above market value for the area. Most employees are pretty friendly and laid back. Work is interesting and challenging. Management is pretty tech savvy.

    Cons

Not too much interaction between different teams. Most people don't know what other teams are working on. Management structure is pretty flat so there is little room for career progression.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company is growing larger, but management should still maintain and insist on an open door policy. Keeping employees "in the loop" helps everyone out.

I have been working at Gaikai full-time

    Pros

Start-up culture, agile development, progressive technology, willingness to try new things to make the overall product better. Has a great product and is changing the gaming industry. Lots of potential to leverage the platform for other areas of growth. Eagerness on the part of management for associates to take on new roles and step into the green field.

    Cons

A few too many "Chefs" created blurred roles at the top of the house. Long hours due to the start-up nature of the company. Limited budgets created the temptation to build solutions that they might be able to otherwise buy to shorten cycle times and deploy a better solution.

I have been working at Gaikai full-time

    Pros

The tech you work on is exciting, and the problems you get to solve are interesting ones. Good corporate culture and great people.

    Cons

Pretty flat corporate structure since the company is still relatively small. It's a good thing most of the time, but it means there isn't too much room for advancement though that will change as the company grows.

I have been working at Gaikai full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is great to work with. Most people are smart and hard working. Plenty of team building events throughout the year. Lots of little perks.

    Cons

They will work you to the bone day in day out. Expected to work long hours. There is no real structure to projects. Most of the management have unrealistic time tables. Difficult to move up in the company. A bit understaffed. On the lower pay scale for this type of company. No appreciation of the hard work accomplished when going above and beyond the call of duty.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees. Help them improve themselves by giving them satisfying work. Challenge them daily, but be reasonable of your expectations. Give constant feedback so they know how well they are doing and what they can do to move up.
