Pros – Accepting job entailed moving back home to Detroit. All reviews about company not good Thus a tough decision to make. Long story short accepted position. 1 year later can report that GalaxE is a good place to work and provides unique opportunities . Can say this after 40 years of having worked worldwide Love co-workers and positive vibe.
Cons – Long hours and demanding. The commute.
Advice to Senior Management – Communication from senior management lacking at times.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Pros – Pay was better than a lot of places. The ability to work remotely is rare and extremely valuable. I met a lot of very good people, and I learned an enormous amount. Whether you have a good experience or a bad experience is mostly a matter of sheer luck. Some management did appreciate extra effort, some just seemed to expect it and demand more.
Cons – The hours were atrocious. The lack of proper training was shocking. The health insurance was inadequate and expensive. I was not given any opportunities to learn new skills. Management did not back their employees.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop trying to find 'fun' activities and worry more about the basic needs of the employees. Us the money you save to get decent health coverage. Make an effort to retain good employees. Put some money into training. I saw way too many talented people driven away. You have some good managers, but you seem to value those that are the loudest instead of those that are the best. Good management is a talent that should be nurtured and encouraged, and good employees will make the company. A person who does not feel valued or respected is not going to be an asset.

I worked at GalaxE.Solutions full-time
Pros – -Talented individuals working for the organization
Cons – -Non-competitive medical benefits
-Narrow minded thinking around systems best practices
-Lack of internal customer service skills
-Poor internal branding when it comes to office decor (i.e., reception area) and cubicle conditions on the 4th floor
Advice to Senior Management – -There is a need to improve the interpersonal and coaching skills for many of the executives and leaders
-Executives live in their own worlds with no clue of what is happening on the ground level
-Keep working on improving overall organization transparency and employee empowerment
-Learn how to be thought-leaders and innovators when it comes to your human capital. It is narrow minded to just focus on technology and not the people that enable your profits.
-Employee engagement is more than creating "FUN" programs. It is about meaningful employee feedback, learning opportunities, and fair compensation policies and practices
-Create sound strategy with ALL stakeholders and learn how to implement it in a timely fashion

Pros – The only Pro I can think of is, when they give you your walking papers, its like getting released from prison, and you get a chance to get off your butt and get another job.
Cons – Cons, there are too many to mention. But first let me say, look elsewhere, they are bound to make you miserable. In addition, the employee situation is nothing but a revolving door. No one is secure.
I also want to make sure I mention this, it gives you a look into their mentality. Those 5 star reviews you read; Employees were asked to write them to balance out the negative reviews.
Pay is low and they will work you to the bone. They expect you to work on overtime, weekends, holidays etc: without as much as a thank you, let alone compensation.
I do not wish to list any more cons, but I feel this must be mentioned. When people get fired and they walk out with a smile and looking better than they have been since they walked into the door for the very first time....that alone should sum up the work place of GalaxE.Solutions.
Advice to Senior Management – Just call it quits already and put everyone out of their misery.

I worked at GalaxE.Solutions full-time for less than a year
Pros – I worked with some great people.
Cons – No work for weeks at a time. I like staying busy, and doing nothing was almost as much torture as the 80+ hr. Weeks/months that followed. We worked through the holidays and never got holiday pay on top of the time we worked during those holidays. This also meant losing any vacation I had stored up. I don't mind working hard, but to almost kill myself for a project with no merit from the get go was adding insult to injury.
I read a review which said the people who left couldn't cut the fast pace. Well let me say that I was very good at what I did, even creating documentation for the rest of the team to help them understand the process we were using, but there is only so much BS a person can take, and like one of the other reviews I read, I am bitter from what I went through. 29 hour days, 9 hour conference calls and deadlines every night at midnight severly affected my health. Thankfully, I've been able to move on to a much better job with good hours and management that isn't focused so much on pleasing the client that they trample their employees in the process.
If the other reviews are actually truthful, I am happy you are happy. But I understand this is not the case for others.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't make promises you can't keep. Also, don't spout things that obviously aren't true. It make morale even worse.

Pros – Many advancement opportunities if you are willing to work hard.
Pay is slightly better, it is the main motivator to stay,
Cons – Read all the reviews and you will know. All recent reviews are positive, look beyond them for the truth.
Advice to Senior Management – Start treating employees like people.

Pros – New vlients are coming on in droves and we are hiring like crazy again. The company is dedicated to its clients and everyone has a great customer-focused attitude.
Cons – Being so client -focused means late nights sometimes. But in our industry it's not like I'm not used to it.
Advice to Senior Management – I can't wait to hear an update from the CEO at our next townhall meeting. Please keep the lines of communication open.

Pros – The location is great. You work around some great companies and great places to eat lunch.
Cons – Benefits are so bad that you would rather go to the emergency room rather than sign up.
Most of the management is disrespectful, rude, and deceitful. The management that is not this way is forced to act this way by people above them. They pretend to be Pro-Detroit, but really it's a publicity scam and most people who aren't brainwash employees know it. IT professionals can't grow with GalaxE and will be fired, on the spot, as contracts are lost.

Pros – Salaries are above the norm. The work itself is very stimulating. The challenge of it all is refreshing. The people are all very nice and professional. The facility in Detroit is beautiful and newly renovated. The company truly cares about Detroit and has put a lot of people to work here.
Cons – The commute is not great. The social atmosphere is great during the workday, but most people do not socialize after work.
Advice to Senior Management – I know you're making leaps and bounds in terms of growth - you should try to structure the company more strategically rather than reactively.

Pros – There is extreme growth potential.
Management honestly looks at all candidates for the potential they have and not just their already established background. Which means alot to me when your a college student looking for a decent paying job, and even the jobs with the lowest pay want you to have masters degrees and 10 years of experience.
All of the company has an open door policy, I've never once felt like I cannot state my opinions or feelings on any situtation.
There is alot of employee appreciation.
The company is very diverse.
Cons – I dont make a million dollars lol
Advice to Senior Management – Management does a graet job of showing employee appreciation.
