    Pros

$2 Billion+ company, fully owned by Nestle. Great benefits, committed to personal development, company store and wonderful people. Worldwide player in Dermatology and Skin health with the vision to lead for years to come.
One word, Cetaphil, that says it all.

    Cons

Heavy on the management side. more bosses than employees. raises are not up to par with the rest of the industry.
In IT, there are often more working hours than not due to the lack of people to fill the seats. Must be at the top of your game to work here!

    Advice to Management

They need to invest more in IT personal for the size of company they are.

    Pros

A competitive employee benefits with generous 401k plan. New CEO is excellent. Free breakfast on Friday.

    Cons

Global President has the ethics of a used car salesman. Sweat shop business culture. Many promoted beyond competency.

    Advice to Management

    Management Skill = People Skill

    Pros

The ability to manage my own territory, work-life balance and rewarded employees.

    Cons

The health care environment has caused chaos in this industry. I do not recommend anyone get into pharmaceutical sales. A lot of reps jumped ship after the December 2013 layoff. Health care and the future of Galderma is too uncertain to stick around I guess.

    Advice to Management

When you lay people off, make sure it's the right people. Some were left behind that are a joke!

    Pros

    Great health benefits and 401k
    Friendly co-workers
    High quality products
    Nestle ownership
US business headed in right direction but other regions (Asia, Latin) are growing faster

    Cons

Fort Worth facility is very remote and not modern.
Company only seems to hire from Alcon and those people all seem to wish they were still there, they never shut up about how great it was. So why have they laid off hundreds if people?
Limited career growth unless you move outside US.
Company has missed its numbers last 3 yrs.
High / Unrealistic growth expectations globally without the willingness to invest in the people needed to run the business.
USA is on its 3rd CFO in 5 years.
Financial reporting is incredibly micro managed, broken processes, lack of tools.
Exhausted employees in finance and hr.
Sales reps are put in to senior marketing positions.
Much higher turnover indicates major problems with morale and work load.

    Advice to Management

Certain decisions at the worldwide level about hiring, promotions and resources are arbitrary. There is a group of about 50 employees who make things run and they are not supported when they are called on to do admin work day in and day out.

    Pros

Competitive pay, great reputation with customers, good products, give you a good amount of weapons to get the job done

    Cons

Micro-managed to the bone, no work life balance, a history of huge mistakes and bad decisions, very antiquated business philosophy, very slow to change, R & D never produces anything but OTC products and branded me-too

    Pros

Still have some quality products like Cetaphil. Quality reps and middle managers.

    Cons

Company has turned into big pharma and you are now subject to lay offs. Layoffs were wide spread across all departments, instead of a rational targeted approach. Management thought that they were bigger than the company and set expectations that were unreasonable. Rotate one time reps through product management like a revolving door. Just because your a good rep doesn't mean that you can be a product mgr. Current product assortment is average at best.

    Advice to Management

Slow growth is good growth. You don't need to swing for the fences every year!
