“It really depends on the principal, some are better than others.”
I have been working at Galena Park ISD
Pros – Will provide a lot of staff development on campus and afterschool. Small district schools are close to each other. Technology Department and Science Department is very organized.
Cons – Insurance is very high. The reading department needs a litlle more work on meeting students needs.
Advice to Senior Management – Principals really need to be fair in their decision making. Tell us the good, bad, and ugly we are all adults and will be able to handle the truth.

“Kids great, it's a calling - not a check..”
I worked at Galena Park ISD
Pros – Every day was a new day...this is especially true of the area - that is what made it worthwhile.
Cons – Long hours outside of the classroom - BUT that is a given teaching - however, once you have a family, this becomes difficult.
