    Pros

Great facilities and employee benefits. Lots of work to be done.

    Cons

Global management influence not always the best direction for a USA company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None... since new Baxter Executive management will be taking control and making changes to absorb their purchase.

I worked at Gambro Renal Products as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Good coworkers--largely holdovers from Cobe days.

    Cons

Lack of focus on US market. Have pretty much lost the chronic equipment business, meaning the disposables are waning as well. Perhaps this will change with the Baxter acquisition?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Resume development efforts geared towards the US market if you plan to continue doing business here.

    Pros

you can get some great work experience. they let you take on as much responsibility as you want. always work to do. much better work space now.

    Cons

some individuals don't have good corporate experience so they are unprofessional. they have had numerous changes in leadership which I think has caused problems.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to run a department. problem may be most managers also have their own work to do, besides managing

I have been working at Gambro Renal Products full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Medical benefits, holidays, PTO and work/life balance, tuition reimbursement

    Cons

organization changes almost quarterly, hard to find someone to make final decisions and no career paths or development for employees. Employee recognition is only shown to sales team but office staff is never acknowledged. More growth and development for all employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please develop some training programs that will help to create career paths for employees to develop in different areas. This will help with growth and more job satisfaction.

    Pros

You have an important job helping make a medical necessity for others. Pay increases are based on merit. Since this is a medical necessity you are helping make the job will not go away during a recession.

    Cons

Rotating shift work. One month of nights followed by one month of days. Also the shift is 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on and then 3 off. That is fine for days but on nights it is horrible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make adjustments to have a better night shift experience or you may start losing more and more people

Former Employee - Field Service Representative

I worked at Gambro Renal Products

    Pros

The organization is professional and customer focused. The service department is one of the best and prompt organizations in the country. They listen to their field service reps and have implemented many of the reps ideas and suggestions in the design of their equipment.

    Cons

While the benefits package and fringe benefits are ok. They used to be better and the pay scale is a little lower than other comparable jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to listen to your reps when it comes to the equipment. They are experienced and knowledgable. There is a lot of uncertainty out there. Reps want to know what the future looks like.
