I worked at Gamers full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-1 hour lunch break, 2 15 minutes breaks. -Can wear your street clothes. -Open area to talk.

    Cons

-Constant department and personal shuffling. Constant policy changes. -Cut benefits and raise freeze. -Hire incompetent workers. -No vacation time. Have to put it in months advance. -Disgusting work conditions. Roaches and black mold in some of stores. -Management plays on favoritism. -Drag you away from your work for some worthless project.

    Advice to Management

Better work conditions, no broken promises, have better benefits or bonuses. No, jelly beans is not a bonus for breaking monthly sales.

I worked at Gamers part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Closed at night and Martin Luther King day

    Cons

Will cheat you out of your money - return policy includes "return fee" - everyday that you have the game - you lose money. Pay cents on the dollar for trade-ins then turn around charge premium price. Ebay/Amazon have better deals and better personalities!

    Advice to Management

    Open a car wash

I worked at Gamers full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

great people in store to work with and great products. most customers are great.

    Cons

upper management changes things at least once a week. pay could be better and better discounts.

    Advice to Management

get some one to run the company with some type of business knowledge otherwise you will be out of business in 2 years. changing things will cause mess ups. respect the employees who work well and they will work for you. offer some type of bonus for employees to get. listen to team members and managers and you will learn more than the regional manager, who knows nothing about the stores besides that they are always down in sales.

I have been working at Gamers part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers are fun, no real restrictions on conversations, decent pay for retail. Flexible scheduling and time off as long as management is notified in advance.

    Cons

Sleazy upper management. Be prepared to be held responsible for shitty store policies. No raises. Employees are treated more like androids than humans. Successful stores pay for smaller, middle of nowhere stores. Wages are frozen because of this, although it's only an annual 2% raise on around $8/hr.

    Advice to Management

Listen to store employees. A DM who is in the store once a month cannot understand why a situation has arisen. Treat your employees better so they don't feel like they are being exploited. Give commission or bonuses to employees/stores who meet sales and support goals.

    Pros

Better than Gamestop and the staff and hours are more plentiful.

    Cons

Prepare to do LOTS of cleaning and wiring as they test ALL their games and clean them ALL up.

    Advice to Management

Work harder or your staff will follow suit in terms of laziness.
