    Pros

Company gives employees a uniform allowance and scholarships are available to family members.Employees also get discounts for certain events and establishments such as Canada's Wonderland etc,

    Cons

COMPANY REPLACING A LOT OF FULL TIME POSITIONS WHICH COME WITH BENEFITS TO CONTRACT POSITIONS WITHOUT BENIFETS. SHAME ON YOU! Most managers are not touch with the needs and work flow of their locations. For them one solution will work across the board. Not always true.Managers need to work closely with teams using their strengths and weaknesses accordingly. Many inconsistencies throughout this company.

    Advice to Management

Work with your teams and learn to use their strengths and weaknesses. Schedule regular meetings to review new procedures and give positive reinforcement. Help teams with conflicts resolutions

    Pros

When the CEO is exited then happy times. Could be an awesome company if it were not for the greed and reluctance to make good on really caring for people as they falsely advertise!

    Cons

When the cats away the VP's will kill each other and the cat is out most of the time.
Super unprofessional environment and should be reviewed by the labor board! Never ever seen a C player work at being ignorant and destructive on purpose. Not much else to say about the rest of them either, all low grade want to be's in the world of executives! Cut your throat in a second if they smell blood. CEO just smiles and pretends not to see anything and HR well it doesn't exist! It's a pretend place for visitors.

    Advice to Management

WAKE up LabCorp and get some real professionals running the company!

Higher than minimum wage. Some people that work here are friendly.

    Cons

No room for progression. Shady management.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to stop making decisions when they hardly know anything about what actually goes on in the lab. It's laughable for people to be running a company when they often have no idea about basic procedures that take place. Decisions are made by people who don't even work in the lab. Management doesn't value the input of the employees actually doing the work. They look and often talk down on the employees that actually get the work done. Big suits sit in their offices getting paid more than they deserve to run a company which they know little about while the hard-working people at the bottom get the shaft on a daily basis. I Wouldn't be surprised if test results were not even accurate as the company only cares about finishing as much work as possible with as little employees as possible often leaving no time to double check. New employees are not qualified nor are they adequately trained so mistakes happen often. Management does not care about the integrity of the testing they only care about production numbers. When the upper management come downstairs to work on "special projects" in the lab they seem to have no idea about the operations and stand around giggling like a bunch of 5th graders. Employees are coerced into staying late when it meets the needs of the management but when employees need a favour in return for their dedication they are declined. Senior employees favour their friends and assign them easy tasks while dumping all the work on everyone else. Lots of double standard. If you're a male in this company working in the lab you can forget about working at a desk as all the women in the department refuse to do jobs they deem are "for men only". I was way over qualified for this job when I started but was seriously held back because of this notion that men are there to do the grunt work while the dainty ladies sit all day. They do not take initiative to help in the tasks they don't want to do even if you're behind but constantly fall behind on their work and rush the people doing all the labour to finish so they can come and help out people sitting all day long. Many managers are manipulative and dishonest. Everyone has their own personal agenda here and will throw you under the bus when it suits them best. I have never been treated so poorly at a company. No chance for promotion. You will be held back at the will of management and senior employees just to serve their agenda. People are lied to in their interviews and told they will be doing computer-based work but when they are hired they are thrown into labour positions and are seldom given a fair chance to develop other skills. I have been assigned to labour work regularly when I am a certified medical lab tech with a university degree and better communication skills than most employees. You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. Working hard here gets you nowhere here. The harder you work the more you get taken advantage of. Senior employees lie about your performance to get what they want. Work here, get your experience and get out. Advice to patients and doctors: do not send your tests here. Quality issues are often overlooked as the solutions would require hiring more staff or spending more money. How this lab has accreditation is beyond me. Severely under qualified people are hired and begin work without ANY health and safety training or training in best laboratory practices. Disgusting work environment. GLAD I QUIT MONTHS AGO!

    Pros

It provides a paycheque slightly higher then minimum wage.

    Cons

Too many to list. Here is a few:
     No union
     Low wages
     No room to move up
     Low moral
     High risk of repetitive strain

    Advice to Management

Start making your employees feel valued. There are no incentives for long term
employment. There is no opportunity for growth. Go back to Caring for People instead of how much you can maximize your profits at the expense your employees and clients.
