    Pros

Company values, amazing employee discount, community involvement, fun & high energy environment, works with school schedule, opportunities for growth (within the company), easy job transfers, flexibility, fast paced environment, allowed to voice concerns/opinions to make the company better, excellent company culture, excellent training on customer service, frequent loss prevention training

    Cons

Inconsistent hours/pay, short shifts (may be made cut even more, if store sales are low), time off policies/approval, negative co-workers, lack of employee appreciation or support from store management, little opportunity to move up in the store you currently work in, overwhelming during the holidays, unrealistic Gap card expectations, overwhelming amount of tasks if enough people are not scheduled to work.

    Advice to Management

To store management: Take the time to get to know your employees.

    Pros

    Great discount
Good work atmosphere, more or less, promoted personal growth
Open door policy - I was allowed opportunities to speak with management about any concerns I may have had which were few.
In my experience, you learn a number of essential SPOs (Standard Procedures of Operation) which reoccur in retail.

    Cons

Hours were minimal and unacceptable. It appeared Management would rely on favoritism to assign hours versus performance.
Micromanagement varied depending on management which always rotated in my store.
Not much room for growth in the company based on my observations and discussions with other coworkers.

    Advice to Management

    Nothing to share concerning management.

    Pros

Feels like a family environment, I have also worked with very knowledgeable people whom I have learned a lot from.

    Cons

Not enough hours to get projects done properly

    Advice to Management

Work on recruiting talent who actually likes what they do and has career aspirations and does not just look at Gap as "just a job".

    Pros

Fun working environment/culture, AMAZING discount (50% off), friendly co-workers, diversity, decent pay (it won't necessarily pay your bills but great for students!).

    Cons

There's really not much training for new hires, there's "no pressure" to sale Gap cards but there kind of is, hours can be a little inconsistent at times.

    Pros

The Gap is a great place to work because for the most part they are very flexible with their hours. The discount is great. The managers, for the most part, are great to work with. It's a relaxed environment.

    Cons

Gap is not a very great place to work because you are not compensated very well for the amount of commitment you give to the company. Raises are pitiful and I had to publicly call out my GM in order for them to raise my wage to at least the hiring wage. There is little room to move up within the company unless you are a part of their "inner circle" of managers (at least in the Atlanta East district). Too much stress on metrics that are somewhat out of your control.

    Advice to Management
