    Pros

Working shipment is a good workout and other employees are great. The management is really nice. I specifically enjoy doing the visuals in the storefront, it's always fun to see what Gap comes up with in their designs. The employee discount is great and also worth having and works at Banana Republic, Athleta, and Old Navy too.

    Cons

If you needs hours, you won't get many.

    Advice to Management

Hire less employees and give more hours to current employees.

    Pros

Gap is a great place to work if you need a place to learn some new technologies. They are on the cutting edge of some of the technologies coming into the field, so there are good learning opportunities. Competitive salaries, great benefits, plenty of PTO (when you can take it)

    Cons

GapTech is an IT organization within Gap Inc. which is attempting to transition from individual support teams to Agile PODs. Sometimes it takes a while to get things done due to not knowing which PODs to engage. Work/life balance is challenging for most infrastructure teams. Some upper management has no technical clue.

    Advice to Management

Hire technical managers who are actually technical. Listen to engineers who have market experience and value input on direction. Upskill and increase staff in some of your operations areas.

Discount that is available at all of the additional brands, friendly coworkers, the company gives out incentives for working hard

    Cons

Customers, low pay, having to work weekends, and all major holidays, terrible management, no room for advancement within the store.

    Advice to Management

Very little appreciation towards employees and unfair favoritism.

    Pros

Managers are really nice and very easy to approach. Most coworkers are fun to work with as well.

    Cons

Hours are nailed into the hours you get. So it can be a blessing, but mainly it's a curse.

    Advice to Management

Requested time off needs a lot of consideration. I know it's a request, but some take that request with less than a grain of salt.

    Pros

Great discount, friendly staff, good quality, open door policy, volunteers and gives back to the community, overall great company

    Cons

Too much pressure for gap cards, understaffed, management lacks communication, tells you one thing and does the other, no room for growth

    Advice to Management

You guys should communicate more with one another when it comes to staff and policies for certain things. There's always a lot of corporate visits, but they hardly acknowledge the sales associates busting their butts so they can keep their jobs.
