    Pros

Working with great people and close to home.

    Cons

    Punching out for lunch breaks.

    Advice to Management

Work with the corporate Prime office to secure a pay raise for the staff. Five years and no raise has placed our pay grade far below the market average.

  2. The Environment can make a difference

I worked at Garden City Hospital as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

-It is a small hospital, so its easy to find your way around and the pace is not too harried. -Some employees are kind and welcoming.

    Cons

-During the winter the employee parking is not taken care of and can get very icy and dangerous. -Some employees tend to stick together and shun or be rude to new people. That is probably par for many places but makes coming to work much less enjoyable.

    Advice to Management

As a manager, you obviously have a very busy job and a lot on your daily agenda, but don't forget to smile. When you are stressed or having a bad day, the way you handle it can affect those around you.

  3. Horrible place to work with very low moral and respect for employees. I would not recommend anyone to work there.

    Pros

most co-workers are easy to get along with

    Cons

low wages, low moral, no raises in 7+ years, big headed management staff. You are promoted by who you know, not what you know.

    Advice to Management

    listen to the little people

I have been working at Garden City Hospital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

It has a decent benefit package. It is a small nice community Hospital and does many things for the community. Good employees.

    Cons

They don't treat everyone equally. There is not much room for advancement, they don't take hard work, dedication, or experience into account or recognize it. They do not pay well especially for overworking people.

    Advice to Management

To keep good employees they should acknowledge them and treat them better.

I have been working at Garden City Hospital part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent employees, good HR, shift differential pay

    Cons

Patients are...from garden city and dearborn. Not the brightest in the bunch, and that goes for some of the employees as well. I thought Registration was a great group of people (with the exception of those few who never did their actual job) but now I hear that has all changed.

    Advice to Management

Pay just a little bit more as an incentive for your employees to work harder and better
