    Pros

    Good brand name Better rapport with insurers Better salary and benefits for management Experienced technical knowledge within management team

    Cons

    Lower salaries for non management staff Non effective processes which will accumulate your work load Top management does not interact with lower staff reduce potential to growth Old fashion management style Bad image on personal life of management/directors No Competition Clause which would hinder a career growth for staff in insurance

    Advice to Management

    Management recently conducted staff feedback program which i think as majority avoided providing individual views. We therefore suggest the management to refer to forums like above and correct your self accordingly.

    Pros

    Sales and Marketing staff with good portfolio gets better commission.

    Cons

    Senior management are headless. No career growth. Profile depends upon cast/religion and not on your previous experience. Salary all time less also no other benefits provided. Also no salary growth after staying in company. Work culture is very frustrating. Skilled employees will be butchered so you will have to show that you are foolish and slave.

    Advice to Management

    Respect skilled workers. Don't be scared of them as they will make you earn profit and upgrade your work culture. Please select candidates only from Kerala as others careers are hampered because you are biased. Behave like a strong leader with steady head. Avoid unnecessary anger on employees as it will keep your blood pressure normal. Stop asking female employees "if they want to discuss their official problems outside office", applicable to directors. This is only creating a funny impression among junior and mid senior management.

    Pros

    Majority of the employees are Young ppl Name in the market

    Cons

    Low salary package Over work load No proper way to assess individual potentiality No clear picture in processes to be followed Passport to be given to HR which is against law Day by day new thing will arise for demotivation Almost all employees are having a negative attitude towards the company and are willing to go out from the company Employees cant join any insurance companies for 12 months after resignation which means company does not want employees to grow.

    Pros

    Learn more as you deal with various issues. If you'ne made it through here then you will be able to work any where else.

    Cons

    Absolutely no training. No transparency in communication. What the manager tells you is not what they tell your supervisor. Those who are sincere and hard working are overburdened. Incentives/Salaries varies even in the same level. And many more...

    Pros

    Many who started as insurance assistants have grown in their jobs to reach senior management positions Continueous training is provided as per annual training calendar both on soft skills and product knowledge Senior most management and directors are accessible to all employees irrespective of their grades Kept the promise of not terminating employees during the recession Annual bonuses and increments are given based on performance every year including the recession year industry respected directors and senior managers Can do attitude of management Encourages employees at all level to criticise and come up with innovative ideas In the last two years when 3 employees died, the Management took extra care in looking after their families- this is a very important aspect for all of us

    Cons

    middle level managers and supervisors do not have sufficient man management skills career growth is slow - there is no fast track opportunity to the highly motivated employees filing system is obselete and need major improvement through soft ware more amenities and better physical work envoirnment and filing space is very important Out of work team socailising is very limited There are some nepotism shown by some senior managers and directors

    Advice to Management

    Salary scale needs to be improved if the management wants to keep quality staff. Work envoirnment needs improvement. Similarly supervisors and middle managers must be sent to crash training on motivation and supervisory skills.

    Pros

    Young crowd Good Brand Name in the UAE market If you leave from gargash and join another company they would know that you can work under pressure Friday, Saturday is an off (provided you complete your work)

    Cons

    - Horrible pay structure - No incentives for non sales staff - There is no guarantee of your increment or bonus as they dont commit to their statements - All they are bothered about is their profit they dont care about their employees (except if your their favourites and for that the criteria is to be of malayali origin - Some staff are given their annual leave only once in 24 months so read your offer letter carefully - You would hardly find any staff that join from another Insurance company (located in dubai) as they hire new staff with low salaries either new to the insurance company or staff with insurance experience but from India, Srilanka, Phillipines etc - Most of the staff (90%) are dissatisfied with the work culture, pressure, salaries and are always looking to leave the company - Good for you only if your a Malayali as 90% of the staff are Malayalis but there are many Malayalis as well who are not very satisfied because of various reasons speacially low salary - Very unlikely that your work or task would be appreciated they are never satisfied with whatever you do and they believe that regular torment (scholdings) will groom the individual professionally. - They would bind your career by mentioning certain clauses in your offer letter like you cannot join any Insurance Company or Broker in the UAE for a period of 12 months after leaving Gargash - The ticket allowance is only AED 2,500 so phillipino staff will have to pay the rest from their pocket if they want to go for their annual vacation - No benefits apart from the Medical Insurance (except for Managers) - The Official office hours are from 8.00 to 5.30 with only 30 mins lunch which makes you work for an extra hour compared to the normal working hours stated by the Labour Law. - If you join Gargash you would not be able to join any other Insurance companies as the management has a good rapport with the Insurance companies and would try their best to avoid you joining the other insurance companies - They expect you to work for life for them with the low salaries they offer - They still work in the old fashioned way with lot of paper work and there is no proper software that would ease the work of the employees - Most of the managers never support their staff on work terms - Lack of Training is the key aspect - The Brand name of the Company is what they use to pay their employees low wages - You can expect a thrashing for the silliest of things like not attending a staff party and possibly even be issued a memo - The management will never appreciate you for your work and would try to put you down all the time - The management is only concerned about their profit they dont even care if they have to lose their employees for that cause they know that they would get new people with low salaries on board - You would always hear of people wanting to leave gargash cause they are never satisfied - All the top people in the company are Malayalis so dont expect a promotion if your not a Malayali - There are a lot other things that makes working difficult here specially no training and your expected to do things without any support if not you had it from the management - You are always overloaded with work and if your not able to complete your work you are called incapable - Its a good option to join Gargash only if your not getting a job anywhere else here in Dubai as they will use the term recession to pay you less - No matter how much profit the company would have they will always find an excuse to avoid the increments, bonuses and incentives - Too many expectations from the staff with nothing in return to the employees - Try to avoid going on their visa if possible or else you will be bound with contracts and clauses - No matter how much the company grows your growth in the company is never certain - It a complete Malayali culture here so good for you if your a malayali but very bad if you are not. - The number of people leaving Gargash is always very high inspite of the contract clauses. - If you try to give your resignation you would face personal insults in the managers cabin

    Read the reviews above and think what can be done to have satisfied and happy staff in the company

    Pros

    - Work with young people - Some flexibility on work hours but this will cut into your commission.

    Cons

    - lack of guidance or training from management - pay structure barely pays for living cost of Dubai - you get commission on a quarterly basis and they give you 3000 AED /month as a forward to your salary that will be deducted at your quarterly comission. First of 3000 AED does not cover living expense in Dubai. - employees are tired and unhappy to the point that they don't even interact with each other. - high turnover rate

    Advice to Management

    Create a better training structure prior to sending out employees.
