    Pros

Lots of opportunities to change to another department.
This might be your place if you do not want too many changes.

    Cons

Very political company! Difficult to move up unless you come directly from outside or you are very well connected - rich family with influence in the industry. Guess this is normal everywhere.
The structure is very horizontal which makes it difficult to promote.
The communication amongst departments is really slow and bad. There is a lack of team work.
Not very well paid. Big gap of salaries, at all levels (even amongst peers...). Directors have huge salaries while normal employees have really low ones.
Promotions or rise in income practically do not exist.
HHRR is disorganized as the entire organization. Some departments have spare resources and others work at 200%. The last ones are rare.
Very authoritarian and do not like new approaches. Although it is not general, talking to superiors is many times impossible. They promote the communication within people of the same level or category. Hierarchy is very well extended...

They have lots of talented workers which can become frustrated because of their lack of promotion. People in general are very dissatisfied. Although some departments -managed by great directors – have very satisfied employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There are many dissatisfied people... You are lucky because it is in the spaniard culture to stay in the same company till you retire.

    Pros

It's a big multinational which guarantees your salary until you feel to stay there. If you get lucky enough you might have the opportunity to be sent abroad for a working experience, even if almost all the expatriate are of Spanish nationality

    Cons

It still needs to digest the shift from a ex-monopolistic state-owned company to a fully integrated, market oriented business structure; in fact the company keep doing the mistake to replicate its Spanish centered business culture in foreign branches and operational settings. This leads to the fact that most of the executives around the world are Spanish even if most of them do not know the local language. Finally promotions and compensations were not based on a fair and transparent process.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Undestrand the business culture of the countries they wish to operte.
