I worked at Gateway Group One full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Earning tips and not having to split it among other coworkers, surprisingly good quality uniforms, and after long negotiations the dispatchers finally had a wage increase.

    Cons

Forced Union upon employees and were terminated if not compliant. Union helps the corporate sector instead of hourly workers. Managers have been caught erasing hours on time sheets to reduce everyone's pay. No training whatsoever after launch of online portal.

    Advice to Management

Don't promise employees wage increases each year if you have no intention of doing it. False hope leads to dissatisfaction, which leads to high turnover. You can figure out the rest after completing Business 101.

I worked at Gateway Group One full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Your Co-workers are wonderful, a second family......Its a good job to start make some money and some experience but don't stay too long.

    Cons

Crappy benefits like having none........No pay rises.......No moving up.....Management sucks! PANYNJ asks them to jump and they say how high.....and you the employee suffers!

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better and with respect! Defend them against PANYNJ Staff! Don't let PANYNJ Staff walk all over you cause your employees see it. Yes I understand that you work for them in providing them a service but you also need to look out your employees too!
