    Pros

Benefits, pension, 9/80 schedule, bonus. Like that they do value company morale and do a lot for the employees like free flu shots, summer event (Sea World, Zoo, etc).

    Cons

In my particular area the favoritism was too obvious. Understand there is company politics, but this was too much. Every company can improve in communication.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really need to evaluate some members of upper management. Some people really should not be in leadership roles.

    Pros

9/80 Work Schedule and every other Friday Off.

    Cons

Low Pay. Absolutely no opportunity for advancement or growth. They have a company policy that you cannot move up into another position if it is more than 7% of your current pay. There are many internal talented employees that are not considered for positions due to this rule. It's absurd. They would rather hire from the outside and pay someone more than give a more than qualified internal employee the promotion and raise.
Poor Management. Too many Chiefs and too little Indians.
If you are retired Military, you are given a job even though you have no experience.
No matter how hard you work, you will receive the said raise as someone who is a total slacker.
No recognition for your work accomplishments
Awful Time Card System. No flexibility with time. No overtime allowed and if you do work overtime, it will be removed from your timecard.
There is no "team" mentality. Most departments would rather fight against each other than work together.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of your 7% rule and allow for internal growth for loyal and talented employees. Allow employees a clear career path and offer incentive and compensation for their hard work.
Get rid of useless overhead. There are so many people who slack off.
Just because someone was in the Military, does not make them qualified for a position.

    Pros

It's a solid company that seems to be growing, the benefits are good and also have a pension, a 9/80 schedule is the best thing about the company because it gives you more of a chance for a vacation without taking too much vacation time.

    Cons

Don't promote from within, a lot of favoritism involved here, if you are not a favorite well than you are basically out. Management doesn't believe in being "overwhelmed" its just something you have to deal with because people should not be overwhelmed. If you ever mention that you are overwhelmed than they just think its because you cannot prioritize properly. Management is not good at offering chances for promotion or any mentor ship what so ever.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

monitor lower management more closely, offer a mentor program, have fun company events between different departments

    Pros

The company provides great benefits once you are 100% vested. Health, pension, 401K.

    Cons

Management is bad. Managers don't really know the process sometimes and just micromanage others without knowing the correct way of doing things.
This is how you fail audits!!!!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

get trained up, listen to your employees.

Good place to make a lot of money in a short amount of time. Not somewhere you'd want to retire from.

    Pros

Money. If you deploy overseas, you get your base pay plus ~80% on top of that depending where they send you. Working 12 hours a day 7 days a week it's easy to make 100k during the first year. Company provided tooling.

    Cons

Management sucks. The company has thousands of employees but is still ran like there are only 100. There are so many people coming and going it's hard to establish yourself among others. Yearly raises are pathetic. Has the whole military style "Hurry up and wait" vibe.

    Pros

Lots of work, room for promotion, opportunity to implement change.

    Cons

Old fashioned work ethic, slow to embrace change, decision authority not delegated from high level management. Management seems to feel that unpaid overtime is the solution to every problem.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire proven successful, non-aerospace business leaders to lead the company. Delegate decision authority. Embrace modern business management strategy, we're not a start-up company anymore.

    Pros

The pay is competitive and you can qualify for an annual bonus. The technology is very interesting and you get to work with a lot military personnel, who are always appreciative of your hard work. Small tuition reimbursement and you have the ability to take computer training courses.

    Cons

Pour management and way to many "Chiefs". No career paths or set expectations for most employees. Don't expect to advance if you are younger. I've been told more then once that because I am young and have more potential, I should not expect to be promoted ahead of more senior co-workers. Leadership is seriously lacking and most are more then willing to throw you under the bus to get ahead. The culture is also unpleasant, there is no "team" mentality. Most departments would rather fight against each other than work together.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change up management & supervision especially in the high desert. Setup some type of career planning or advancement coaching for employees. Improve communication from the top down to minimize gossip and rumors.

    Pros

Felxible working hours, amazing benefits, company is still small enough to where you can network between departments and build lasting professional relationships. There is substantial room for growth and professional development if you are dedicated professional, and have a good set of soft skills. The culture is amazing, and it is a true pleasure to come to work with the people currently employed there.

    Cons

Granted, the pay is slightly less than industry standard, but compensation comes in many forms. Excercise every benefit made available.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just as with the rest of the company, I've seen postive trends in the hiring process and leadership selection. Let's continue on that path. Great job.
