Former Employee – worked at General Cable
Pros – The pro's were the people in the group. They were very helpfull, and they encouraged you to go for it more in terms of finishing projects.
Cons – Upper Managment didn't have the company very stable. It lead to the office being shut down. The cons was that the company laied off a lot of workers due to the move from Suffern, NY to Highland Heights, KY
Advice to Senior Management – You need to haveto have better upper management so that you don't kill the chemistry of the groups.

Current Employee – been working at General Cable
Pros – Very good coworkers that are understanding to your role within the company. Also, the cafeteria has been remodeled and is nice.
Cons – The Operations VP's are not respected within the organization which creates a tense working environment. Also, you must be a member of their club if you want to feel as if you are contributing to the organization. Generally, there is an overall negative vibe in the office and the culture is very rigid. The Jeans days have been taken away and the company does very little for its employees.
Advice to Senior Management – Take some time to engage and colloborate with your coworkers.

Pros – Benefits pretty good, salary fair. Many worldwide locations across the globe. Convenient cafeteria in the building. Not too bad of a place.
Cons – Company has too many regulations and reporting to Wall Street. You have to provide a report for Everything you do.
Advice to Senior Management – Have compasion for people, don't treat them like a number. Listen to employees ideas and suggestions and really consider them.

Current Employee – been working at General Cable
Pros – For some people, the work is satisfying and challenging. The company has grown over time. It is a market leader in many areas. Tolerant of different cultures.
Cons – Cutbacks are severe when times are bad. Politics dictate who succeeds and who does not. If you are not on the fast track right away, and desire to move up, then it is time to move on.
Advice to Senior Management – No advice.
