I worked at General Dynamics Information Technology as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

General Dynamics has vast opportunity for an average CSR to move up to a supervisory role in under a year if one really works toward it. The job is straight-forward and even scripted for those who have little customer service experience. The training is great and the overtime offered is unfathomable (sometimes up to 90hrs/wk).

    Cons

Very repetitive work. Depending on the trainer, training can be little to none, leaving the rep to seek other reps after being put on the floor. Things also change quite a bit, sometimes daily, so the average rep has a lot to keep up to date on.

    Advice to Management

Create more secure managerial positions instead of "acting" positions. Create more overtime opportunities for QS Team. Create a new 'Tier 3' team that handles tax-related only inquiries to decrease hold times and confusion among consumers.

I have been working at General Dynamics Information Technology full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have worked for GDIT for less than a year as a supervisor and and a customer service representative. The benefits offered by GDIT are some of the best benefits I have had ever.

    Cons

Training is lacking and communication from upper management needs to be improved. Hiring practices need to be improved as well if you can read a script and have some computer knowledge you will be hired.

    Advice to Management

Tighten up the hiring requirements you will hire just about anyone and some of the people you hired should of been let go .
