I worked at General Motors Powertrain full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Great benefits. Lots of job opportunities if you are willing to try "new" things. Great employee product discounts.
Cons – General sense of complacency, no motivation to go "above and beyond". Old boy network firmly in place; only a small minority involved in serious product development. Old mentality led to this company's problems. The writing was on the wall for a long time.
Advice to Senior Management – Bloated workforce considering the output.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Pros – This is a brand new company and it was created in 2009. It's really a great place to work where all employees new to each other and many opportunities to develop as individual. The team is quite young and its location is very convenient. Very exciting production plant and facilities. Very good training tools and opportunities. Very good work/life balance at the company.
Cons – As it's new company the procedures are/may not be very well established and sometimes you'll have to struggle your way in getting some results and create first presedences.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep it up and all the best!
