General Parts Manager in Baton Rouge, LA: (Past Employee - 2008)

“mediocre pay - long hours - poor training regimen for internal promotions”

Pros

Position is rewarding and filled with opportunities to demonstrate your abilities. Outside the box solutions are expected and initiative for implentation rewarded.

Cons

Extremely long hours with numerous six and seven day work weeks. OJT is the predominant training module and is inconsistant in presentation, depth, and oversight.

Advice to Senior Management

Care more for the individuals employed. Work toward allowing balance between work and home life. Consider shared staffing between locations and be proactive in resolving operational opportunities.
