I have been working at Generali full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Global organisation, financially strong, clear strategy, treats employees well. Has undergone major transition to create a group identity and streamline operations to focus on core business.

    Cons

Some resistance to change, usual inefficiencies in dealing with very large, geographically diverse groups.

Worst experience in my career due to BULLY BOSS!

    I worked at Generali

    Pros

None. Everything in this company is not good. Beware if you want to apply here. Very slow career growth.

    Cons

Bully-bee boss. Politics is everywhere. I was forced to resigned due to bullying. My boss hired me to bully me. She has her 'asungots' from the other department who bullies other employee as well. This boss knows nothing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to be fair to everyone. Do not favor those bosses who are doing nothing but be a bully-bee in the company.

Friendly environment. No pressure for work. To make a life balance with work, Generali is the best place to work

    Cons

No organized process and structure. HR system is the worst. The company does not encourage employees to delevelop their abilities and skills. The salary is much lower than the market standard. They save money for the lower position and pay money to the top position

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Set up the organized process

Former Employee - Assitente Di Produzione in Milano (Italy)

I worked at Generali full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good name to have on your CV being the biggest insurance company in Italy

    Cons

the wage provided was really low and there was no support at all from the management to the sales organization, they told me they would provide to the sales a list of persons to contact in order to get meetings and sell their products, the reality was that everyone individually had to find names and contacts during their freetime to call trying to book meetings, we were provided no database, phone, email, or portfolio.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The task a manager is hired usually is to help resources grow, in this case they were kind of making the work even harder showing shame to the sales who wasn't able to get to the quota rather then helping and trying to find a solution. They were not interested in how the sales was doing what requested, but only that was done even damaging the image of the company.
