Advice to Senior Management
Good job

Advice to Senior Management
to review with each employee expectation and results.
Pros
Pleasant environment.
Knowledge sharing amongst employees is a bonus.
Cons
Not paid well compared to other regions staff.
Even after 5 years spending here, you have to still wait for a promotion.
Advice to Senior Management
Deserving candidates should be given promotion and paid according to industry standards.
Pros
Great technology; reputation in the market; smart people; travel opportunities.
Cons
Lower than average pay; interference from Alcatel-Lucent (though Genesys was recently sold to a private equity firm). Carear advancement ignores until resignation letter submitted.
Advice to Senior Management
Make sure employees understand the long-term game plan. Provide clear overview of who competitors are, what makes Genesys unique, and provide more collaboration opportunities with sales.
Pros
very structured company working towards targets but no emotion in it.
Cons
the management treats its employees like robots, they are supposed to perform and do everything according to target. there is no emotion in it. even when you are 2 minutes late to your desk coming back from a break you are already warned and if you are more than 2 times absent in 3 months, disciplinary action is taken. the management is very cold to its employees.
i think it is an unethical company to work for.
Advice to Senior Management
treat people more humanely, and introduce some factors that make it enjoyeable to work there, ie. after work exits together, more employee to employee interaction and nicer management.
Pros
the "fun" attitude, the very international spirit
Cons
internal communication to be improved. very silo'd
Pros
The only benefit is that you learn Genesys apps.
Cons
No promotions, no recognition for hard work.
Technical Support Management does not have any value for quality work and
never supports in any movement within the company for a progress in career and creates obstacles by not giving appropriate genesys skills for development after any attempts to move within the company.
Advice to Senior Management
The company has technical support as part of it and not vice versa.
IMO,only dull people decide to stay in one place forever, others try to progress
and move forward and you should support their efforts because you wanted to hire smart people!
If you think that you've fooled everyone so far in giving them false hopes, experienced employees are leaving technical support which clearly shows a lot!
Rewarding the same employees over and over again and promoting them 2 to 3 times is great! Try rewarding other employees who have served you for years as well and see what a difference it will make!
Pros
Some of the best sales and technical staff I've worked with, including back office corporate and applications staff. Everyone understands that we are all working long hours, and try to help each other as much as possible. Almost all jobs are fully virtual office, but most sales, technical, and professional staff are road/air warriors. While the hours are very long, you can force work/life balance, especially if you are one of the rare employees who are not traveling all the time (since most of us work from home offices).
Cons
If you're not sales or technical staff, good luck with promotions or recognition.
Advice to Senior Management
A few words of praise when receiving multiple emails on an employee's great work would be nice... actually, any positive feedback would be nice.
Pros
Telecommuting is allowed and encouraged
Work schedule flexibility allows the ability to maintain work-life balance
Experienced, knowledgeable staff are a pleasure to work with
Cons
Raises are rare and fairly minimal. Promotions usually don't come with a raise so it's hard to stay motivated knowing there's little reward for that "extra" push.
Advice to Senior Management
Management should Implement a better system of compensation which motivates employees to invest more energy into projects and career growth.
Pros
flexible work hours
4 weeks vacation
decent 401k plan
CMM driven company - great for project managers and paper pushing managers
Cons
needs fresh blood and aggressive approach. engineering is full of groups each promoting and protecting their favorites.
Aggressively test employee capability and get rid of the bottom layer.
Advice to Senior Management
Caught up in process and CMM level cycles. Create managers who can multi-task and get rid of managers who are caught up in process.
