Cons
Low / middle level mamagement is compromising on quality while recruiting new people as Genpact pays worst compensation when compared to industry. This results in running the process with people who have less analytical / communication skills and low attitude. This in turn creating pressure on the supervisors. Again some of these supervisors are in turn internally promoted bsed on vintage, who are not at par with the role. If this situation continutes, after 3 years, one can see processes going back to the customers. The current compensation policy of Genpact is short term oriented. One day, it may question the business existence as the company is in BPO industry, which is based on people. Standard Operating Procedures (process documentation) can not replace human inteliigence
Advice to Senior Management
This is high time to start recruiting good resources from the market and clear the people who are not at par with their roles.
Pros
Great Culture
Employee Respect
Knowledge Management
Focus on Quality and Training
Good place to start career
Abroad Opportunities for many
Cons
Compensation and Benefits
Culture diluted
Some of the leaders are bad
Too much cost saving intiatives harm the employee motivation
Advice to Senior Management
If it can be, Please bring back the culture that we had between 1999-2005. Attrition is one of the areas to be looked into.
Pros
Genpact has great training practices and gets the best out of the individual. There is scope for entrepreneurial spirit in this organisation.
Cons
However, the pay is not the best.
Advice to Senior Management
None.
Pros
GE DNA
Enough and more trainings. You can become a quality guru if you utilize the opportunities for study and network accordingly.
Many business divisions of GE so more cross functional movements.
Cons
Sucky Pay.
Slow Growth.
Suckups get a better chance at growth.
Focus on 'management' centric growth rather than technical growth. Genpact has never been able to come out of the BPO complex.
Advice to Senior Management
Market Stndards are supposed to be just that 'standards' not 'substandards' when it comes to pay. So pay good performers accordingly. IT services has become a 'sick' business coz you never could retain some of the best people I ever worked with.
Learn more from GE rather than just 'cost cutting' measures and position each business accordingly. A BPO and an IT Operations /Delivery and Infrastructure services are different entities. Treat them accordingly!
Let people move in the area of choice. If you 'hold on' to employees...they LEAVE :)
Pros
job security, located in city, good colleagues, freedom from watchdogs, top BPO
Cons
no growth, you should be a bot licker, no promotions, less salary and perks, same kind of work
Advice to Senior Management
nothing
Pros
1. Job security.
2. Ample scope of personal developement.
3. Always encourages to learn new things.
4. Friendly attitude of Management.
5. Challenging place to work and grow.
Cons
1. Pay structure is not as per industry standards.
2. Promotions are very rare.
Advice to Senior Management
1. to retain best talent GENPACT has to provide the pay rate as per the market standards this will stop other employers poaching GENPACT employees for higer salaries.
