Pros – great people, learned a lot, quality of life is good - they give some flexibility - they hire some extraordinary staff
Cons – There wasn't anywhere else to go within the organization and they were paying me less than market - they only way for me to continue to grow was if I did a relocation - the company is under financial pressure due to the housing market
Advice to Senior Management – pay more attention to your people - offer more to take care of the people that are already on the team
Pros – Excellent work life balance, competitive salary, excellent benefits package
Cons – Steady and boring, very boring, lack of technical direction and foresight, currently undergoing budget crunch
Advice to Senior Management – Try growing the technical expertise of your employees instead of contracting it out to external parties. At least monitor the performance and quality of contracted work.
