Former Employee – worked at GeoLearning
Pros – Lot's of freedom to creatively solve problems, casual work environment, treated you like an adult.
Cons – Lost a lot of staff after acquisition - as happens when a company gets sold. Too bad, a lot of talent was lost.

Former Employee – worked at GeoLearning
Pros – The pay rate was fine and there was flexibilty with my schedule as long as I was performing.
Cons – Too much middle management and many road blocks to getting things done. The focus of my Manager was his paycheck and when he did listen to issues he made me feel better at the time but then did not follow up. Felt it was a waste of time to share feedback. When Geo was acquired I was let go with a group of 40 or so of my peers over a conference call that lasted less than 5 minutes. Sum did not have my severance package ready and I had to make multiple calls and emails over the course of 3-4 weeks to straighten things out.
Advice to Senior Management – Majority felt they were in it for themselves only.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Current Employee – been working at GeoLearning
Pros – Good technology and very family oriented. A very liberal organization if that is what one wants vs. transparency and accountability. VERY hard to get fired.
Cons – No accountability at any level, too many mid level management, some of which make no obvious contribution and they keep changing titles to appear relevant; company direction at the mid-level shifts month to month. Targets in sales are unrealistic for the number of people they have and there are no rewards for achievement nor ramifications for failure.
Advice to Senior Management – Use your own technologies for Performance Management and design a recogntion program that encourages people to want to be better than the person beside them. Demand "leadership" from mid management. Lead from the front and not from the rear.
