    Pros

Great co-workers and boss. Through training program. Benefits great, pay OK.

    Cons

A long time for advancement opportunities. My degree helped get into company but served no purpose while in Gerber.

I have been working at Gerber Life full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1. Good work environment, everyone is always very friendly and always willing to help you to better yourself with the company

    2. Great benefits, you receive health, dental, vision as well 401k. With that you also receive free membership to the local health club and many discounts for travel, hotels, software and cell phone.

    3. There are many opportunities to grow with this company and many advancements through the ranks.

    4. Pay is good. Not great but definitely better than many companies

    5. Training and getting licensed is all paid for by Gerber Life. This is worth it right there.. licensing can cost houndreds of dollars if you where to do it on your own, including the finger printing and background checks.. this is a wonderful treat that Gerber Life does for its employees

    Cons

Very sedentary.. you sit at a desk all day staring at a computer screen and you cant really go anywhere because you are on a phone line which often feels like a tether

I have been working at Gerber Life full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Decent benefits, great perks, pension plan, and friendly environment. Nestlé is the corporate parent and this umbrella brings a large company benefits and structure to a smaller company like Gerber Life.

If you find the right spot, it could be a good place to be while you strive for the work/life balance. Lower level jobs will have stability.

People are in general polite toward each other on the surface. Once you get to know them, there are some real honest, nice, and sincere people.

    Cons

Highly political, difficult for advancement, behind the times thinking and approach to business, slow response to market demand, and disconnect between departments.

If you are smart, a doer and want to actually solve problems, this is not the place for you. If you are smart, know how to CYA and wish to do as little work as possible, this may be the perfect fit. The work is not distributed normally across the board.

High school clique mentality with heavy back stabbing if you ever got on the wrong side. The culture also fosters incompetence and yes-man behavior.

I have been working at Gerber Life

    Pros

More layed back environment than most companies
You can wear whatever you want
Some nice people to work with

    Cons

Management sucks. If you have a problem, there is no help. Favorites do what they want. No innovation. Thumbs down!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need a revamping of management and employees. Everyone is too set in their ways to make positive changes.
