I worked at Gianni Versace as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

I was in the wholesale department as an intern in the summer of 2012 and it was the best experience of my life. My supervisors were so helpful and taught me so much.

    Cons

Fashion as an industry does not pay that well until you've made it to the top and all the fashion internships are unpaid which is a bummer

I worked at Gianni Versace as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Interns were given a lot of responsibilities and were essentially another employee on the team. The supervisors were also kind and encouraging.

    Cons

Worked long hours and there was often too much work for the amount of employees on a given team. Employees often seem to be underpaid so turnover was incredibly high.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in your employees by increasing salaries and hiring an appropriate amount of employees. Include more opportunities for employees to meet outside of work to build a stronger culture.

No employee morale; a lot of backstabbing; not a team environment whatsoever; a lot of turnover.

I have been working at Gianni Versace as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Laid back environment, wonderful, friendly people who for the most part enjoy coming to work everyday.

    Cons

Turn around is very fast, in the short period that I was there 4 people left. Often times very stressful having to wait for approval before continuing with any project. Departments need to work together more.

I have been working at Gianni Versace

    Pros

Free uniform. Commission. Free lunches. Meet nice customers. The name speaks for itself.

    Cons

Extremely competitive. People take your clients, even management. Have to work Sunday. Sly workers.not enough stock controllers. To demanding. A lot of bitching. Creates unnecessary vibes. No one in there is your friend.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to staff ideas. When the pressure is on you don't take it out on your workers. Hire people who can speak English properly. Please note that if it was not for your sales assistants there would be no business!

    Cons

    Some Employees can't speak English,

    No proper training involved,
Employees should be properly trained on watches and jewellery as they are most popular to sell,
Other workers try to get in on your sale,
The assistant manager always has something to moan about,
    Long hours,
Staying behind without getting paid extra,
Some employees force clients to buy when they don't want to,
    Targets are to high

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Just relax,
Stop being so serious! It's a nice environment to work in stop making it seem more tense then it is,
Give your employees PROPER TRAINING!!!not just by what you remember
