    Pros

They provide benefits for part-time employees. I worked with some very nice people. The company was involved in many fundraisers which supported the local community. They acknowledged employee efforts with scratch off tickets.

    Cons

At times I felt sexual/age discrimination. Because I'm a woman, and worked in a department of all men, and was the oldest person (in my forties), consistently, I received the fewest hours on the schedule, even when I had excellent yearly evaluations. I also observed favoritism on a regular basis. Some people were fired for the smallest infraction, while others committed huge infractions, with no consequences. Although the company feels it trains employees efficiently, the "training programs" hardly exist.

    Advice to Management

Try to treat employees more fairly across the board. Devise a consistent training program for new-hires. Cease with the nepotism. Offer a better competitive wage. Treat employees with respect, not with condensation. Especially in cases where a customer filed a complaint against an employee, the customer was wrong, yet the company took the side of the customer and reprimanded the employee.

    Pros

Week pay, starting rate above minimum wage

    Cons

Management, lower level employees treated like crap, management tried to tell you how to do your job when they can't do it themselves, no full-time employment unless in management positions

    Advice to Management

Stick to your policies and guidelines. You let customers walk all over your employees and treat them like crap when they do their job and then management writes them up for doing what they are supposed to. Also all of your store managers are very inexperienced with basic job duties such as being a cashier. Processing snap/WIC is one of the most used forms of payments and having to manually input it as well cause half the cards/checks do not work. Yet no store manager or overnight management knows how to do any of these simple tasks. It would be best for the company to actually show their management teams how to do the other jobs they watch over before they try to instruct others what to do, when they don't even know how to do it themselves.

    Advice to Management

Get better people can't live on 10 hours a week it's wrong for u to even give any one that

    Pros

Room for advancement. They'll hire anybody.

    Cons

They take harassment in the workplace very lightly. They let anyone get away with anything, especially management.

    Advice to Management

Take harassment more seriously. Get a better Human Resources Department.

    Pros

There used to be flexible hours, start a dollar above minimum wage, nice coworkers. Not much else to say about it.

    Cons

New management doesn't listen to availability and took away the ability to change it, scheduling to close one night and open store 7 hours later, discourage from joining a union, hard to get promoted and when someone does it's someone who does a terrible job. I've been working there for over three years and still get less than $10/hour. Some weeks I barely work even 20 hours.

    Advice to Management

Listen to people more, hire more women and minorities, pay better and offer more hours because it's impossible to live off of this salary.
