    Pros

    Cons

poor management, you make under $8.25 for the first three months and they don't tell you why, sometimes it feels like a sexist work environment.

I worked at Giordano's Pizza full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Being a tourist hub for Chicago, you can meet many different people. You get a second family feel with the staff.

    Cons

Constant rotating of store managers with the combination of low pay for the industry and a minimum work week that is over 55 hours do to an overall lack of managers. Only if you're desperate and need the experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It will fall upon deaf ears.

I have been working at Giordano's Pizza part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The people I worked with were great. You get to interact a lot with customers and the environment is really fun and relaxed. This is a great job if you're in school or want something part time.

    Cons

Sometimes customers are rude and dealing with them can get tedious and annoying on a weekend night because chances are you will have 20 people waiting while one person is arguing with you. And you start off with low pay due to their probation period.

    Pros

Great food, good culture, made great money. I met a lot of friends that I still have to this day

    Cons

Some disorganization. A large amount of food waste. Managers had a difficult time getting staff on board and motivated to fulfill company goals. Location ended up closing and many employees lost their jobs

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on controlling excess waste and training managers

Corporate overkill. Too much paperwork and not enough hands on customer interaction.

I have been working at Giordano's Pizza

    Pros

-Tips are distributed fairly and reviewed by the employee
    -Friendly and comfortable atmosphere
-Not a lot of corporate influence
    -Pay is above minimum
-Free soft drinks and occasional food

    Cons

-Can work late on some nights, but that is to be expected

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice would be to keep the restaurants as is, and do not stick the corporate influence into the restaurants. I have seen other companies become worse because of corporate influence.

Nice restaurant. Staff/management friendly. Food awesome

I worked at Giordano's Pizza full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Employee discounts! I worked here for 6 months and ate pizza on a daily basis. Loved it.

    Cons

Occaisionally understaffed, especially during lunch. Also, when I worked there the tables were not set up in sections, and guests could choose where they wanted to sit. The result was you could end up assigned to tables on opposite sides of the restaurant which meant a lot of needless running back and forth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Split the dining room up in sections and assign one server per section.
