Pros – Some smart people and good vendors; most employees believe and make sure the mill has a future

Cons – You may be forced to work in Chilpaco and you won't ever receive a job description or list of duties. All the PM managers and area supervisors hate your boss and therefor hate you.

Advice to Senior Management – Time to clean house! Let the people who care have enough authority to do their job. Fire the dead weight that is driving off all your talent. People don't leave bad work or bad places, they leave bad management.

Pros – Manufacturing processes continue to get more efficient each year. Production leadership has a lot of smart people.

Cons – E-books (like Kindle) are reducing the demand for book paper.

Firings are a common occurrence among the office people. Quite often, though, they cut a good employee while keeping poor ones on the job. Better keep your resume up to date. And never critique the pet projects of upper management.

Managers also seem to be under great stress.

Advice to Senior Management – Listen to your mid-level managers. Put more scrutiny into proposed Continuous Improvement projects.

Cons – Floor worker's don't understand how business work's today and are not willing to go the extra mile to create better business.

Advice to Senior Management – Work more with your floor worker's on additude and working enviroment.
