    Pros

If you're willing to work, they will use that drive

    Cons

management believes in letting others take responsibility; firm belief that there are always applicants to be hired more cheaply.

    Advice to Management

experience needs to be recognized with pay, not platitudes.

    Pros

There were many pros. The people, the patients. The staff were great people. The benefits were fair. The computer system was fantastic and the education I received there was superior.

    Cons

Management has made a mess of a place that 10 years ago was once a great place to work. It can not retain employees now. Those there are trying desperately to get out. It's sad to hear of the deterioration. It is also sad for the patient's and the community.

    Advice to Management

Get someone in there who supports and respects their employees and cares about putting the patient first. In order to take good care of your patients, you have to take good care of the employees who are the caregivers. Very sad

    Pros

Not many pro's over the last couple of years. other than it is local.

    Cons

Management could care less about any of the staff, doesn't matter how long you have been there you are still treated bad. Most of the staff there now are new grads with little to no experience, most of the seasoned nurses left when the LPN'S were demoted .and our director of nursing was let go, Very few seasoned nurses remained, NO job security, patient to nurse / tech ratio is not safe. We are not paid if we don't get our breaks, we are told to be there 20 min before our shift starts but not allowed to punch in early, When I started 8 years ago it was a great place to work, now it is a place to earn your pay and go home.

    Advice to Management

Think about your staff for a change, try working on the floor your self to see how it is .

    Pros

close to home, nighttime differential pay

    Cons

hectic environment, nurse to patient ratio, chronically short staffed, at times negative atmosphere

    Advice to Management

The nurse to patient ratio needs to remain 1 nurse to 2 patients in ICU

    Pros

Flexible, Convenient, Good learnign experience for new starting employee. Small town Hospital feel.

    Cons

Salary range for position is not on par with other major organizations.

    Advice to Management

Consider the staff you have and compensate accordingly. The work expected of the small team is great compared to other comparable institutions resources for the same build prospective. Without some re evaluation and soon continued losses seem eminent to the IT team.

    Pros

    Good coworkers and good experience

    Cons

Poor morale, too many patients to staff ratio, no support from management

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people who are actually on the floor working before changing our work environment. Disgruntled employees equals poor work quality.

    Pros

Was a highly respected, well managed 410 bed community hospital.

    Cons

Over the most recent 4-5 years they seem to have lost their way and forgotten what it was that made them highly respected to begin with.........their employees !

    Advice to Management

Most well run organizations these days are a mixture of experienced and newer hired employees. Not a high percentage of one or the other type employee.
