    Pros

A small company that grew into a little giant literally overnight with a lot of hard work and determination. Is a leader in it's business of telecommunications and many employees have been at the company for many years. Due to it's success it's caught the eye of Bell and Rogers and just awaiting for the deal to close. Who knows what the future holds?

    Cons

With success sometimes comes the thinking of a big company and though the company is still relatively small in size at head office it may require people wearing many hats. Communication downward from senior management can also be improved.

    Advice to Management

Your people are your greatest asset and have helped with the success of the company. Don't keep them in the dark, let them know what's happening before it happens. Rumors and the unknown is never good and you could lose good people.

    Pros

    - Good IT - HR truly care - Some of the staff very nice - Lots of social events - Not strict on hours

    Cons

    - Downsizing & focused on cost cutting only now - jobs, resources, department sizes - Family run business - all decisions by family - "Boys club" C-suite - family & friends, separated from all other management - Performance reviews or progression planning - none done - No management meetings or sharing - no communication down the line - No planning or strategy - Behind in the times and systems

    Advice to Management

    - Talk to middle management and share plans - Plan strategies for growth - Need bigger accounting & finance team - Keep smart employees as you layoff people

    Pros

-they care about people, staff, customers and managers -commission -they hire internally (they promote internally) -always training(in class and online) -great benefits for full time employers -autonomy -personal development opportunities (soft skills)

    Cons

-work life balance. you need to be good at time management -since its based on monthly performance it tends to feel like a never ending cycle but that could also be exciting because if you do poorly one month you have a chance to re-do

    Advice to Management

-work on uniformity throughout the company every store feels different

    Pros

I learned a lot about wireless business systems as this company has access to the major corporations and Government Agencies wireless systems. Depends who is in charge with the shop, you could have a flexible environment; you have access to many Motorola and Vertex two-way radio products and you have the chance to deal with professionals more often that other shops. They offer health, dental and few other benefits if you are interested in those; the Manulife policy they offered had numerous restrictions but it was better than other shops offer.

    Cons

Office politics; the company is run by business men who have no technical skills, they see the numbers only, and would not hesitate to cut jobs or not approve salaries increases instead of looking into increasing the sales and the business exposure to new markets. Also I was asked to sign a document that was keeping me away from their customers for five years after leaving the company. There were few other employees who left the company within the same year. This review is not about Wireless Wave, which is another business under the same leadership.

    Advice to Management

Those people don't read these notes and never listen to any input from the first line employees. If one shop doesn't make them money, they are closing it instead of analyzing the problem.

    Pros

They have the best training program for increasing your selling skills. There are also many awards you can win.

    Cons

Their wage isn't the greatest compared to other wireless carriers.

    Advice to Management

Logistics team is very weak and needs some improvement. Hardware inventory isn't bad but losing potential revenue in accessories.
