    Positive learning environment

Sales Associate (Former Employee) Toronto, ON (Canada)

ProsWireless Wave provides its employees with a good commission structure and flexible schedule. Vacation pay and benefits are also excellent. Company offers a lot of incentives so they give you an opportunity to double and even triple your income as long as you perform at the top level.

ConsPromotions from within were a bit slow. Some favoritism goes on among senior management and you might get moved to a undesirable location if you do not make contacts.

    Destined to fail

Sales Associate (Current Employee) Toronto, ON (Canada)

Prosone of the best managers i worked with throughout my workibg life

    ConsWhere do i start
Most of the sales staff lack proper knowledge
The DMs only job is to micro manage or spy on you ( did not make his presence felt till he could catch you doing something wrong)
Company talks about legendary guest service but acts completely against that thinking. I think one of my biggest issues is they are setting themselves up to fail by cutting benefits and hours . Also quite a few managers (incompetent ones) keep their jobs cause the company is afraidof being sued for letting them go.Would not recommend them to anyone

Advice to Senior ManagementEither operate ethically or quit stop fooling yourself that you are good leaders since no one else feels the same

    A company in free fall

Sales Representative (Former Employee) Toronto, ON (Canada)

    ProsCarrier plan discounts
You can literally play on your phone all day because no one really cares

ConsLowered commissions drastically , I use to make ~20$/hour and now I'm making minimum wagw
Management offers no constructive criticism , they only point the blame at you
We use to have demo lines..they cut those also
No way to obtain a job higher then a sales manager. I saw a district team leader who worked there for over 8 years get passed up for a district manager only to bring in a DM who's only retail experience is clothes and sports equipment
High turn over rate - I've seen people last a week and quit once they realize how bad the commission structure is and how much more other companies pay

Advice to Senior ManagementShape up . With Best Buy Mobile and Wow Mobile both encroaching on your business you should do more to retain your sales reps and show them that you care about their well being. Stop using intimidation as a tactic . Pay your reps well because they will come to Glentel , get experience (since Glentel basically hires anyone) and then leave for higher paying jobs at the actual carriers

    An Amazing Canadian Company

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsFamily Environment, Training and support is amazing, Lots of room for growth and promotions because we have so many stores like Wireless Wave, Tbooth Wireless, Target Mobile, Wireless Etc located in Costco stores and The Samsung Stores are just starting to open up in malls across Canada.

ConsSales pressure is very high from managers and causes high turnover.

Advice to Senior ManagementWe need to give people a little more time to become successful in our business.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

GREAT COMPANY. SALES FOCUSED. GROWTH. GREAT PAY AND REWARDS

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Pros- Salary, Commission, Incentives and Contests,
    - Career growth, longevity, endless opportunity
    - Award winning development programs, great management.
    - The list goes on....

To the woman that worked for target and most of the people that wrote negative reviews on Glass Door, you didn't like the company and have something to harp about because you didn't succeed? Maybe the reason they let you go (lady from target) is because you weren't best fit for our companies vision and culture. One bit of advice, don't work 2 jobs while working at Glentel, you don't need to. The money is great. Glentel compensates reps, managers very well. Management are well trained and earned. Glentel rarely ever outsources management positions. We work in a retail environment but I wouldn't call this a retail job. This is a sales culture. If you are writing a bad review for Glentel or any company for that matter, you have to sit back and think.. Maybe, just MAYBE you didn't have what Glentel was looking for and that it's best to move on. I've seen reps earn over $100K a year. This is truly a great company that cares about their people. Don't be fooled by these nobodies on Glass Door writing bad reviews. GO GLENTEL!!

PS- Fraud? Non-existent. If you are going to write a review, at least be honest and don't blab false information on a website. Fraudulent activity by clients and employees is tracked up to the minute. Employees are terminated immediately. Just sayin'

    Thank you all,

Sales Manager - employed by Glentel for 4 years. Started as a rep and have now been a manager for 2 years.

Cons- Commission structure changes on a monthly basis. (Pay stays the same, but company focus changes rapidly)

Advice to Senior ManagementSTOP CHANGING COMP STRUCTURE FOCUS ON A MONTHLY BASIS!!!! :)
