    Pros

    Company hires from within and promotes fast if you are willing to relocate.

    Cons

    Most venues are smaller in size and budget and can only accommodate a small, full-time work staff. Plenty of opportunities, however, if you are willing to relocate.

    Pros

    People were very nice to you, they would willing to teach you some real things in event marketing

    Cons

    Sometimes would have overtime working even though you are a Intern

    I worked at Global Spectrum full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    All of the pros come with caveats which will explain in cons. Fantastic upward mobility. Facilities all over the country. Most young good people to work with.

    Cons

    Once you dictate where you move and deviate from the companies plan for you the upward mobility is extremely limited and you may be pushed out. If you don't care where you live or what you do or how many hours you work or don't mind low pay compared to the public sector.

    Let employees have more say in their career decisions earlier on. They will be happier and work harder.

    Pros

    I enjoyed working at such a large company. Many new faces to meet and ever changing environment. They have good systems and n place (when followed) that make you feel valued. Great opportunities to move up within the company.

    Cons

    Local GM didnt always follow procedures so systems fell through the cracks. Signed paperwork for a raise that never was added to my pay. Long hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    If you're going to offer employees increased pay or a promotion actually do the paperwork to get it done.

    Learn a lot about what it takes to market an event.

    Pretty much the same tasks every day- research, social media, etc. Management won't be bothered to teach you a new skill.
