    Growing company. Making great advances in medical technology. It's a pleasure working for a company helping so many people.

    Cons

    There is some friction between people within the teams. You can go to management, but, as in any job, there will always be favorites.

    Advice to Management

    Give your team time to go over their concerns and questions in team meetings, don't use team meetings as manager to supervisor meetings. A "job well done" is appreciated. Thank you

    Pros

    -Pretty comfortable environment -Friendly co-workers for the most part -Oppurtunities to travel -Good for entry-level career -Potential for long-term career -Managers/Directors willing to listen (in some departments)

    Cons

    -High-stress at times -Not always having the right tools for the job -No work-from-home options -HR seems to be pretty dreadful -No consistent review/appraisal process

    Pros

    rapidly growing company, a lot of potential growth in product development and R&D (would recommend a job in these departments) perks such as ice cream bar Fridays and Philly pretzel Wednesdays. New gym + showers built in office. Ping pong and pool tables in the cafeteria.

    Cons

    The ONLY potential to earn a raise is during year end reviews in which all employees receive a 1-4% max raise determined by management. No opportunity to work from home.

    Pros

    Looking for a company with a fast pace environment where you’ll be a part of something great? Well you’ll find it here at Globus Medical. The company is energetic and enthusiastic and delivers cutting edge technology (from conception to delivery) in roughly one year’s time. Overall all goal is to improve the life’s of those suffering from complex spinal conditions.

    Cons

    Even thought pretzels, bagels and ice cream seem like wonderful treats, it adds up to the waistline over time. Thank goodness for the facilities fitness center.

    Advice to Management

    These not just for Globus but also for all companies, listen to the voice of your employees for without them you would not be as successful. What they say is important and should be considered.

    Pros

    Great place to learn the ins and outs of product development. Fast paced and competitive. Seems that if you work hard and do good work there is a reward waiting. The PD department is fairly large which provides a solid opportunity for friendships and connections for all personalities.

    Cons

    Dirty place to work. Dirty carpets, dirty bathrooms, dirty air filters in the ceiling. Don't eat too much at lunch because it's hard to find an open stall at 2:00.

    Advice to Management

    You actually get more done when you work from home. Try it. I dare you.

    Pros

    Fast paced and always busy environment. A lot of hardworking individuals that love what they do each day. The best company I have worked for so far in my career. Sure it's tough and yes the friends and family network is awkward, but it is only a small part of the overall experience. You will be challenged every day and expectations are high of everyone to complete their areas daily goals. Tell me where you could go and expect any less from your employer? Awesome Christmas party and free gifts for lucky winners.

    Cons

    Constant pressure to meet deadlines can be very stressful, but not unexpected. Hoarding is a problem, management scared to physically scrap old parts that are piling up all over the building. No storage areas and constant battling for space between departments.

    Advice to Management

    Better annual pay increases.

    Pros

    Best place to garner expertise via the interaction from direct surgeon interaction through to project completion (always late no matter what) and fulfilling what we are supposed to do, actually making a difference in helping the patient!!

    Cons

    You already have the negatives, and they apply greatly .. friends & famiy etc..ad nauseum. No real qualified upper management . Won't go into details. It would take too long. Under paid and do it CEO or the highway. Lots of loss of exceptional employees. Sales reps are misguided and never stay, regulatory as well. Not sure what is going on with the engineers but they seem to hire only on the cheap direct from graduation. Which actually is good for those folks but in any business wouldn't you want to keep the tried an d true? Anybody not in the inner circle are removed. This is not a collaborate from my view but a fiefdom.

    Advice to Management

    You won't take any but......realize that your CEO stock cash out (48 mil), plus friends and family bonuses that are now public knowledge really break the back of those you are stepping upon. Just saying to a fellow church goer.

    Pros

    The pay at Globus is so low that it is very easy to find another job that pays better.

    Cons

    Hard to decide where to start. Management is a strange mix of ignorance and arrogance. I wasn't sure which of the two are going to be the flavor of the day. Management incompetence is the reason for the revolving door software engineering team. Co-workers are generally sad and disappointed that projects drag on and on because management has no idea how to make moderately complicated devices. However, Globus is good at copying simple mechanical designs from their competitors

    Advice to Management

    Abandon the product. What is the sense of being another ME TOO in an already crowded marketplace, unless of course you plan on stealing trade secrets like you have done with most of your other products. Also, stop the backroom deals of having Globus "buying" companies that the CEO privately owns. What a tremendous conflict of interest at an amount of $50 million for just this year.

    Pros

    Great technology focus helps with the sales

    Cons

    Culture is very negative. Promotions are based on friendships and not merit. Most people live in fear of reporting wrongdoing and being reprehend was for it, so they just accept whatever is asked of them even if it makes their life difficult. There are some toxic people who are allowed to stay and push the good employees out.

    Advice to Management

    Start paying attention to your employees and the interactions. High turn over ratio will not slow down until you can start making people feel appreciated and heard. Start cleaning up the toxic employees or all the good ones will continue to leave you.
