I worked at Gold & Silver Buyers full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I'm sorry, unless you are desperate ...that's the only nice thing I can say

    Cons

They changed their name from Gold & Silver Buyers because they are being sued from former employees for many reasons like loss of pay etc.. They took a lot of the company profits and took it overseas because they are being investigated. They are starting to bounce checks to employees and sellers (customers). There is no advertising budget and they dropped everyones overtime pay, vacation pay and chance at a fair chance to make commission months ago. At $10 and hour, no one can afford company healthcare or Obamacare. Out of the 70 employees in the Houston Area only 6-7 people a month make commission. They raised the expectations so high so that they could keep more money for themselves. People have lost the incentive to work hard (these are Strong Negotiating Salespeople who are not lazy when they are paid fairly) but if you know you are not going to benefit by earning thousands of dollars in profit for the company.......

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go to OZ and ask for a heart from the wizard. Oh yeah that was a dream too.....

I worked at Gold & Silver Buyers full-time for less than a year

    Pros

They are the biggest in the field and have nice clean stores.

    Cons

Very low pay. False claims to employees and claiming that they pay the most money when they do not. This causes the employee to miss buys or to lie. And the sales commission is not high enough on top of that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat employees better and tell them the truth. Do not make false claims. The employee turnover is huge. Try to see how a stable sales force works versus the current business model of churning people.

I worked at Gold & Silver Buyers full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good money when the market is high.

    Cons

Company says they pay the most but they don't, long hours, no lunch, do not pay you for all your hours you work, no benefits, no communication, changes game plan almost daily, bounces checks, company is changing name to Goldwiser to get out of bad press and bad business plans. only pays $8 an hour no over time and changes commission % in mid flow.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care about your employee's and stick to a plan, pay more and stop changing our commission. Stop ripping customers off.
