    I have been working at Golden Corral part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great hours, co-workers, management. 50% off meals. As long as you preform your job duties management is willing to bend over backwards for you.

    Cons

    Things can tend to get a bit hectic at times so if you don't a routine down you can be upside down faster than you think.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work, I appreciate the opportunity, and you definately have worked with me and all of my life happenings that have occurred.

    Pros

    Hours are flexible. Four locations to choose from. Corporate office is located in San Antonio and upward advancement is possible.

    Cons

    Open seven days a week and holidays are minimal. Can take a very long time to get a raise no matter how hard one works. There is no sick leave available and a full time position is scarce. Must not have personal issues ever because there is very little understanding.

    Advice to Management

    Recognize valuable employees and treat them well. Offer more benefits and incentives and reward hard work. When employees know they are appreciated, they will work better and be more dedicated. Work expectations should be more clearly defined.

    it is an inefficient system. There is constant turnover of employees and management, constant change in working processes, unhappy customers, and poor working space for both customers and workers.

    Advice to Management

    Instruct the employees on an efficient method for them to follow to optimally accomplish their job. Apply small changes where necessary instead of making constant big changes that the employees can't keep up with; enforce and stick to efficiency.

    Management knows what their goals are and they aim to meet them.

    Cons

    You are there to make them money. A lot of times I felt like they didn't really care for me as a person. People go to eat there and leave an incredible mess and a lot are not considerate that you get paid 2.15 and live off tips.

    Advice to Management

    Balance is key.

    Pros

    The only good thing about this job on 9045 pines was some of the employees there and 1 nice manager. Discount on food, they'll give you more hours if needed.

    Cons

    The amount of work you have to do is ridiculous. I know it's a job but everyone hates working there. I've heard it from everyone. Customers are completely rude and don't appreciate your service and hospitality.

    Advice to Management

    Work on making the environment a better place.

    Pros

    -Work with some great people -Some of the customers are regulars and are great people -Management cares about you

    Cons

    -Golden Corral tends to attract the worlds rudest people -You will see some nasty things -You are forced to work beyond your capabilities (and the managers know that) and get yelled at when you don't perform -They do not follow you're availability at all! -Managers do not have a grip on everything

    Advice to Management

    Get a grip on things! A set schedule maybe and define what tasks each employee should do!

    Great community skills and teaching skills. Hospitality is wonderful and great workers all in all.

    Not much. Possibly just not every worker is appreciated like they should be.

    Pros

    It's a high volume store. No over nights. I had a set schedule with two days off in a row.

    Cons

    There wasn't any follow through from Franchisee with discipline actions, and a lot of disorganization between Company policy and Franchisee.

    Advice to Management

    Need to work on commuication, follow through and consitstancy of policies.
