I worked at Good Technology full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Are you a workaholic? Then yes its a pro

    Cons

    1. Zero introduction to product when you join.
    2. Start fixing issues from day 2 .
    3. You should be available anytime anyday.
    4. On call support and regular work - don't care if you spend the night fixing customer issues - get back to work the next day - no comp off
    5. Slog like a dog and get 2% hike - no bonus!!
    6. Crime to work from home.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to atleast listen, forget implementing.

I worked at Good Technology full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

There are good people at Good and you can learn a lot from your teammates.
    Good health benefits.
HR tries to build a fun-loving, team-spirited culture.

    Cons

Some managers are terrific but they are stymied by trying to please the upper management who, with few exceptions, are busy jumping through hoops in order to prove they deserve to keep their jobs.
Constant layoffs justified as honing strategy, but when layoffs happen after every quarter close, clearly the company is lacking a clear direction and/or the patience to stick with the current growth strategy.
You will be expected to work nearly 24/7 the last month of every quarter if you are in the sales team. You won't get time off, days off, or holidays.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop laying people off. The fear of being cut is undercutting employee productivity.

    Cons

High layoff on weekly basis on Friday, management does not have experience and direction, low level of life and work balance due to small number of staff in each section, close of recent offices in different state

I worked at Good Technology full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay. I was a Senior Sales Engineer, spent 2 year at Good. Worked with some great people, and also some bad people, like any company.

    Cons

Far and away the worst part is here is the "Oracle attitude" Several senior leaders at Good are former Oracle, so they treat you really bad. The QBR's are awful. You sit there and get crapped on for an hour and can't defend yourself at all.

The other Con is, this company is sinking. They have massive layoffs every 6 months. They had nearly 1500 people at one time. Now they are down to 800 or so.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop pretending you are going IPO. The bankers (3 times) have valued Good and still .. after all there years .. no IPO.

I have been working at Good Technology full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

I really enjoy being part of a highly skilled team that is passionate about their work. I feel valued by my manager, and I enjoy my job. Compensation and benefits are on par with other competitive offerings.

    Cons

Good Technology is headquartered in California which means I am "working remote" every day. This creates challenges ranging from the time delay to lack of peer interaction and at times can create a bit of a disconnect.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management doesn't always communicate effectively or timely.

I have been working at Good Technology full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

-Great CEO, despite un-warm personality, has drive and knows what she wants
    -Customers love us
-Very close to leadership, able to communicate when needed
    -Cool kitchen/snacks
    -Opportunity for growth
    -working from home

    Cons

-being forced to take time off
-pro that the company has made a large external turnaround, but con at the expense of internal moral
-wondering if you are going to get laid off every day
    -compensation isn't fair
-a lot of politics, and I mean, A LOT

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more transparent. At the end of the day, everyone here is still human and can understand the position of a company, but don't constantly preach that this is "normal"-- be honest.

I have been working at Good Technology full-time

    Pros

There's a lot going on and we manage to keep it all moving forward. No one has an ego and everyone is willing to work together to get things done. All communication is honest and straightforward and when someone says they will get something done - they generally do. We’re trying to solve really hard problems that no one has solved yet. That means there’s a lot of opportunity for creativity and learning. It’s fun to spend each day figuring out what we’re going to build next.

    Cons

There's a lot of processes and procedures in place which can make it somewhat daunting to figure out how to do things like file expense reports, resolve a bug, etc the first time.
