    Pros

Excellent facility, great location, outstanding labs.

    Cons

Annual raises are small, workload is high.

    Advice to Management

Need to pay much more attention to employee opinions rather than blindly following orders from the top.

    Pros

You can lear a lot about your field. There's people with tons of knowledge and they know how to get things done. A lot of know how attitude.

    Cons

Management is stocked and screwed to their positions. They don't like young people to take their positions or to advance in any way.

    Pros

You get a break every two hours and lunch is paid unlike at other factories. They show appreciation for the good work you do instead of just expecting it to be part of your job unlike other employers. You start out as a temp and if they think you've worked well they hire you straight on. They pay well.

    Cons

Standing for 12 hrs and lifting boxes with heavy hose above shoulder height. Swing shift is hard to have a family life and still work. They kinda have a sexual harassment problem.

    Advice to Management

Watch your employees closer. Some of them shirk responsibilities and leave the line and others are a lawsuit waiting to happen.

    Pros

Some freedom with work schedule. Freedom with hours regarding what time you come in and can leave if you have something to do. No micro-manage, but this is going to be a con also.

    Cons

No organization or structure. Communication is terrible. Everyone is involved in everyone else's job. Decisions are made by the group, no individual accountability. No direction or understanding how business works, which is why they don't micro-manage, they don't understand.

    Advice to Management

Management shouldn't have their jobs. People need to be brought in that actually know how to run a business.

    Pros

The team members on the floor were one of the few pros at the Porterdale plant, we received paid breaks.

    Cons

Where can I start? We were on a 7 day, 3 shift schedule for the past 3 years, family life is non existent, HR is a COMPLETE joke, as they put policies in place that make them look good in the eyes of corporate. Without any concern for the effect it had on the floor team members. Our main HR was over 2 plants and rarely showed her face at our plant while she had 2 HR specialist or generalist or something to that nature helping her that were absolutely lost concerning employees on the floor, one of them always had to get back with you if you had an issue while the other one was always trying to get employees to snitch on one another, it was a learning experience working there, you were expected to make a 1st quality product out of materials that were seconds when they came in the door and if it was brought to managements attention their response would be just get it done. Low pay, low morale, no family time, management that doesn't care., during my 5 years there we never even had a company picnic, not worth it to me.

    Advice to Management

Replace the entire front office and start new with management that cares about the team and not just about the numbers.
