I worked at Goodyear full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

mature processes, large strategic investments inside the company, willing to invest in employees as well, financially stable and opportunities to work internationally

    Cons

the usual red tape and delays with any large enterprise organization. still a bit of the "good 'ol boy" network in place meaning you'd better suck up to a bunch of them.

    Advice to Management

go back to the open-idea environment for continuous improvement and no more blaming a department for their inefficiencies. get rid of the need to speak a certain way or be cast out.

I have been working at Goodyear full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people at the plant level. Good company branding. Good benefits.

    Cons

Open atmosphere in the HQ is a nightmare to work at. Not enough "huddle rooms" for conversations that are sensitive to the business. Management does not empower the employees. Promotions seem to be limited to those who are political.

    Advice to Management

It's not about saying the words. It's about the actions. There is no empowerment. Too much bureaucracy to get things done.
