I worked at Google as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    * Lots of opportunities to learn a lot * Get to use really well set-up infrastructure * Work on interesting projects * High pay, easy conversion to full-time * Relaxed work schedule * Huge campus, lots of places to go (check out the SF office if you have a chance!)

    Cons

    * Some other interns had not-so-fun projects. * Few and boring intern events.

    Advice to Management

Sometimes I wish management would allocate more budget towards better food. Pales in comparison to some other places like Dropbox, although it's certainly better than most.

    I worked at Google full-time

    Pros

Free food, great people to work with

    Cons

For interns converting to full time, it's annoying that you have to sign an offer before getting matched with a team

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Google as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working at a place where everyone is brilliant but humble and approachable, eating restaurant-quality free breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and getting to work on projects that impact millions or billions of users

    Cons

Always feeling like you're the least intelligent person in the room, slower-moving coding/progress/projects (in general) compared to smaller tech companies

    Advice to Management

There is honestly very little room for improvement at Google. Perhaps small adjustments could be made to make projects/coding at Google progress faster, but the pace is only to be expected by a company that works at the scale that Google does.

I worked at Google as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Independence to work, very "do what shows results" data driven. I trust Google to lead us into the future.

    Cons

It's a large company, and most innovation is by acquisition.

    Advice to Management

A good balance between having management and not micromanaging. Keep it up!

I worked at Google (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great work environment. Everybody is motivated and they help you whenever you need help. Internal tools are great

    Cons

Projects for interns are sometimes not well defined or well prepared for in advance. This has led to some confusion in the middle.

    Advice to Management

They should focus on remaining always on top and exploring new areas so as to be part of the next big thing.
