    Pros

great atmosphere, good people and just a great place to work. I would even go as far as saying the best company in the world to work for.

    Cons

I don't have many cons about Google but software engineering i do. For one, deadlines they are very stressful to meet. secondly the amount of hours is huge.

    Advice to Management

my advise is just stick to the same style as now because the employees have huge morale and as i said earlier a great place to work.

    Pros

Great environment, supportive colleagues, lots of learning, great use of technology, fast paced and never boring.

    Cons

No matter how hard you work, if you're a contractor they give you the feeling.. And no matter how great you are, if you're applying for a permanent job within the company, for which a family member of Google employee is applying too, there's no chance for you. Been there.. Experienced it.. Totally nepotistic, yet will lie in your face, stutter and blush when you tell them you know why the other person was hired instead of you.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate and prioritise those who have showed you a great hard work already instead of prioritising external candidates who haven't showed anything yet..

    Pros

    - Perks + Benefits, good compensation
    - Casual Working culture and still relative flat hirarchy
    - Colleagues and Teams
    - Work cross-functionally and globally

    Cons

    - Strong Performance Pressure with quarterly reviews, ratings that measure performance numerically and meticulously, and the need to over-perform for three consecutive quarters to even be considered for a promotion. Can lead to very slow career progression.
    - Lots of leg work and operations, often you manage chaos and company politics rather than make things happen
    - Lots of launches means a lot of overtime
    - Very ambitious and very competitive colleagues and shift culture towards having to put in a lot of extra hours and extra effort
    - Lack of diversity (everyone is an over-achiever coming from similar personal and professional backgrounds, both in business and on the engineering side)

    Advice to Management

Stay true to your roots, hires from management consultancies and big band names are changing the culture currently. They should adopt to Google, not the other way round. Hire more diverse talent from different backgrounds, hire for talent and attitude. Focus on better work-life balance.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Benefits, compensation, atmosphere, constantly working on new technology

    Cons

Base pay is a little low, but that is due to the compensation package, such as free food (breakfast, lunch, dinner Monday through Friday), and many more perks.

    Pros

The best reason to work here is people that quite similar to yourself. If you have any ideas, your team will support you instantaneously.

    Cons

The biggest challenge is a huge flow of information and you should have ability to absorb this information as fast as you can in a quality dimension.

    Pros

Amazing benefits, travel, food (which is phenomenal), opportunities - placements, working on different projects across the company, being constantly challenged, needing to think - constructively, properly and sometimes really quickly, amazing colleagues who are similarly extremely smart, fast and challenging

    Cons

You need to be prepared to work hard - your bonus, standing, salary etc are all predicated on you working hard and continuing to improve. You need to show you are a team player as well as an individual, so be prepared to take on extra work to make the grade. It's a large company, so you have to find ways to stand out. Don't expect much of a home life at times - when you're up against it, it's expected you'll stay there all hours.
