I have been working at Gould and Lamb

    Pros

Hopefully new management will expand how to market. Some areas can now market more than just MSAs.

    Cons

Tried to introduce too many new programs at once. Also no coordination of marketing new programs on national and local level.

  2.

    Employees treated like children

I worked at Gould and Lamb full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Were allowed to work from home, though strings were attached.

    Cons

Production goals reasonable at first then when achieved the bar is raised then raised again until you feel like a total failure always short of the goals.. Work is reviewed by people who are incredibly incompetant and there is no 'appeal' In fact reviewers were using their middle management status in doing peer reviews to hold down those more talented and educated then themselves. Middle management blamed mistakes on newer employees. There was a tone of fear and intimidation. You felt like big brother was always watching and monitoring phone calls and computer use...even personal computer use when on breaks (if you were logged into the system).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat employees with respect and you will get more in return. Allow people a safe and comfortable environment in which to shine. Be nice.

I worked at Gould and Lamb full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Working from home was great, and the pay was not bad.

    Cons

No good communication at all. Although they claim to have a lot of education and training, all they really do is show you in a web meeting the same examples of what not to do over and over and over again, and the documents are never up to date with their current methods. The employees are not treated with respect, but are treated more like children. Reviews were never given on-time, if at all.

    Pros

Absolutely no communication, professionalism or support from management..
And those are the good point

    Cons

Imcompetent management. Hostile attitude toward employees and the employees give it right back. I've never been part of a more disfunctionaly group of individuals in my career

I have been working at Gould and Lamb full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent pay, not exceptional, but decent. Training had been fine, but after losing their top trainers who knows. Good life work balance. Great product and service. IT folks are great!

    Cons

Executive leadership has been horrible for the last few years. They are just finger pointers, not leaders. They have no idea what they're doing. Turnover is horrible. They lose a lot of very talented people constantly. This company is able to hire great people, but can't retain them because they're more qualified than the leadership.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Abry needs to step in and replace of the executive staff starting with the top.
