The Administrator and his Management team are second to none.

I worked at Grace Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Patient Care is the priority of each employee, regardless of their operational role of the Facility. As an employee that was "let go" from this facility, I witnessed the capabilities of each employee and gauged their successes by the hapiness of the patients.

    Cons

The Corporate Office takes no accountibility for some of the misdirection and lack of training that they provide. I was "let go" because I asked a Corporate Senior Accountant a question about their Medicare billing as it pertained to AZ LTC patients. It was a simple respectfully asked question but taken out of context. The Administrator was asked to fire me immediately, although it was he who had given me the direction to ask the question. Anyway, I question the motives of Senior Management when apparently there are questions that should not be asked.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Corporate Managment - Pick up phone and talk to the person e-mailing you, so that you can judge the context and react accordingly, professionally and without ignorance.

    Pros

Licensed nurses and CNAs are nice.
Beautiful garden and the building (the company renovated recently)

    Cons

The company's focus seems to be only on profit.
The computer system is extremely time-consuming.
Management is clueless, they treat employees like slaves.
Very old facility, no hot water is coming from the shower, water is leaking from the BR often.

I worked at Grace Healthcare full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I actually couldnt think of any. There are some good people who work for Grace healthcare, but there are so many bad ones that it sort of cancels it out.

    Cons

Short staffed, bad attitudes. Patients do not receive the care that they deserve. I have been a LPN for 20 plus years, and have worked Geriatrics, Private duty and hospitals. This company needs to regroup, fire all the management people and start over and hire good quality people. I worked there until I could find something better and that is a shame as there are some wonderful patients and some really good employees. They pay well but it isnt worth what you have to deal with and worry that you will loose your license.

I worked at Grace Healthcare full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Easy work and I loved the residents that were there. They were great to me the first few months I worked there and I received a promotion 4 months after starting.

    Cons

Didn't like the way the some of the cnas treated the residents and nobody did anything about it. They started treating me wrong when I became pregnant and was having complications in the first few months. Supervisors are unprofessional. One of them curses at people and the other likes to play favorites.

    Pros

NONE WHATSOEVER. This company is the biggest joke in the San Francisco Bay Area.

    Cons

The owner of this company is a real character. Recently fired all the LVN's , NO COST OF LIVING INCREASES FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS, Slave drivers !! Not by any means an Employee friendly company.
Stay far away from this joke of a company.

I worked at Grace Healthcare full-time

    Pros

Nothing good to say about Grace Healthcare

    Cons

Don't really recommend anyone working at Grace Healthcare, I worked there about a year and I'll I have to say is I've never worked in a place where I was disrespected by other staff members until then. Plus the staffing is low so there are more patients per person so residents are not getting the proper attention they deserve. There were a few times bed bugs appeared, and management told CNAs not to notify others of the infestation, I've also seen roaches on patients and maintance had done nothing. There was a lot of diversity in the work place and a few comments made towards white people which I did not find professional.
