    Pros

good environment to work in. The facilities are great. You will love the beautiful whether and the food is great. I would recommend that you live in the adjacent city of ruston

    Cons

The pay is bad and the management is not professional at all. If you have young children you will find it hard to find a good daycare center. The high schools are terrible. The have a high dropout rate and poor facilities.

    Advice to Management

    Need to hire better personnel

    Pros

The opportunity to contribute the the improvement of a historically black institution and assist those students in attendance is a wonderful thing! To contribute to any student's education is a wonderful thing.....

    Cons

however, the values, mission and legacy of excellence that the University was founded upon has somewhat been lost over the years. Some of the people who serve as employees and in many cases upper level employees are part of the reason that the insitution is now on the decline. The irony is that while a college or university is all about changing the lives of individuals for better, there are often too many employees opposed to change, making it a very challenging environment for those who have the vision to make it happen.

    Advice to Management

Don't just talk to the people in upper level positions, talk to the people who really serve in the trenches....you'll get a different prospective and it will do wonders for employee morale. Every part of the "body" is important.
