I found Grand & Toy to be an overall disjointed and ineffective organization with too many layers of heirarchy.

District Sales Manager (Former Employee) Vancouver, BC (Canada)

ProsHighly recognized Canadian brand. Overall reliable supplier of office products with a wide and varied offering.

ConsPoor cooperation between the business units and continual supply chain breakdowns.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to focus on being an expert in a few areas instead of being average or worse at many. Improved cooperation between various departments and their varied business units is required if Grand & Toy can ever expect to deliver on customer expectations.

Easy going fast paced environment with opportunity for professional growth for those outside of sales (account managers)

    Ecommerce Coordinator (Current Employee)

    ProsGrowth opportunities.
    Great coworkers and friendly environment.

ConsMediocre benefits you pay for yourself.
Work like balance for sales support associates is not great.
    Under average salaries.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to walk the talk.
More communication from upper management. Tend to find out about changes after they've been implemented or decided upon.
Keep your employees in the loop and not only can we better support new strategies, we can provide our expertise to ensure good decisions are made.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
