Pros
You work with greta people and get great on the job training. You are also given lots of responsability.
Cons
The conomy has been hard on the public accounting industry.
Pros
Career advancement, management training, good as a first job.
Cons
Disorganized for company of it's size. Lack of necessary training for new comer. Differences among managers. No standard approach for performing reviews of auditors' work.
Advice to Senior Management
Get organized and introduce standard practices.
Pros
Great People, a lot of team work, good communication, great location downtown... good compensation, Overtime, lots of PTO, everyone is very professional and there is no shouting and people don't make lewd comments, high level of professionalism, lots of free food, management are very kind and understanding, you get praise for the work that you do, there are many committees dedicated to making life easier, its named one of the top places for working mothers, there are special events for women''s growth, flexible working hours, the relationship between the administrative staff and the CPA's is great, they don't talk down to you and are very thankful when you help them out.
Cons
Downsides are... sometimes there are very urgent tasks management needs done, and evey now and then they don't give you very much notice.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to give 24 hour notice for urgent projects...
Pros
Client growth and total revenue growth, commitment to career enhancement by having challenging client and complex accounting situations.
Cons
not adequate compensation, managers are not as available as needed or don't supply adequate support at times.
Advice to Senior Management
Ensure managers are setting the tone and encouraging strategic initiatives, not just going about their jobs as normal.
