Current Employee – been working at Graphic World as a contractor for more than 7 years
Pros – They're fans of freelancers. And you can work in the education field even if you have never set foot in a classroom. They'll tell you exactly what they want. And although their office is Mac-based, they're comfortable with Windows.
Cons – Their deadlines are tight and they're sticklers for quality. But if you can meet their incredibly high standards, you'll have freelance jobs for life.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work!

Former Employee – worked at Graphic World
Pros – Very family friendly. Great people. Bosses are more like peers that lead, very approachable and fair. There is a lot of exciting stuff going on that is re-defining the way books are developed.
Cons – The industry has taken a beating over the past few years. The financial crisis that has hit the country affected the publishing industry greatly. When publishers don't publish, shops get no work. When shops have no work, people get let go. A horrible by-product of the economy.
